CapitaLand
is a multinational company with a footprint that
stretches over 100 cities in more than 20 countries,
and we engage talents at a global level. We adopt
a total rewards approach in hiring, developing
and managing our employees by offering market competitive
compensation and benefits, a work environment that
enhances employees’ well-being, and adopting
a comprehensive talent management strategy.
To ensure that CapitaLand remains competitive and
continues to attract and retain talent, it constantly
benchmarks itself against different markets and
innovates its compensation strategies. Accordingly,
the Group replaced the Employee Share Option Plan
with a performance-based Restricted Stock Plan
in 2007. The Plan provides an attractive long-term
incentive to employees, contingent on achieving
a set of performance targets. This is to better
align employee and shareholder interest to deliver
results.
CapitaLand prides itself on being proactive in
providing a total well-being programme to help employees
better manage their physical health, as well as
handle any stress and personal issues that may
arise. For example, in Singapore, besides a flexible
benefits programme, regular talks and workshops
are held to educate and encourage staff to live
a balanced lifestyle. Topics range from art appreciation
as a form of therapy, to retirement and financial
planning; from eating right to positive parenting.
A comprehensive health screening is also widely
available.
We recognise the diverse needs of our workforce
and continue to enhance the Group’s flexible
benefits plan to enable staff to complement their
personal medical and insurance needs, with those
provided by the Company. In 2007, a flexible work
arrangement policy was formalised to recognise
the employee’s need to balance work and family
commitments. In addition, a HAPPY (Holiday Accommodation
Programme Provided for You) programme was introduced
in August 2007 to reward all CapitaLand staff with
holiday accommodation at The Ascott Group’s
properties. This is to encourage staff to take
a break with their family and rejuvenate themselves. |
