The best Korean beauty products for your BLACKPINK inspired makeup look
Besides their songs and charisma, part of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's charm comes from their stunning outfits and trendsetting makeup looks. Get the best Korean beauty products to recreate their looks.
It’s hard to talk about K-pop without mentioning BLACKPINK, a four-member girl group known for their catchy pop tunes such as Ddu-du Ddu-du and Kill This Love, who have broken numerous global records, including being the fastest K-pop group to reach 200 million views on YouTube. Part of the group’s charm comes from their stunning outfits and trendsetting makeup looks, which are a major source of inspo in the world of K-pop fandom.
While all four members of the group have the ‘BLACKPINK aesthetic’ — a seamless blend of softness and edginess — they've each become known for their distinctive makeup styles.
Jennie, the main rapper, is known for her trademark sultry glam look with her signature smoky eyes and red lips. Lisa, the main dancer, is known for her bold, colourful looks. Main vocalist Rosé, as her name suggests, is into peachy pink looks with a bit of edge. And Jisoo, the lead vocalist, is known for her elegant and fresh-faced ‘no-makeup makeup look’.
Fan or not, you probably have a look — or two — you prefer. If you want to recreate their makeup looks but aren’t sure where to start, we’ve got you covered.
We break down each of their makeup looks and recommend the best Korean beauty products that can help you recreate your own BLACKPINK inspired look.

Jennie: Sultry Glam
If you like an edgy look full of attitude, Jennie’s look is perfect for you. Think sultry, smoky cat eyes and striking red lips. Start with a light matte or shimmery brown, gold or peach eyeshadow as a base. Then use matte chocolate brown or black at the edges of your lids and blend outwards to create that cat eye effect. Finally, use a light-medium brown to blend seamlessly. Compared to typical smoky eye looks, Jennie’s eyeshadow stays close to her lids and isn’t near her brow bone. Innisfree’s My Palette, a customisable eyeshadow palette, lets you pick the shades you need. Of course, her signature eye makeup isn’t complete without a bold cat eye flick, which you can achieve with Missha’s Ultra Powerproof Pencil Liner in Black, a matte black liner lauded for being smudge- and transfer-proof.
Jennie has said her favourite lip hues are a nude peach or her signature vivid red. Laneige’s Silk Intense Lipstick in Clean Effect will give you that defined red lip and Sunrise Rose is a beautiful nude peach.
Lisa: Saturday Night
Lisa may be the maknae (youngest), but she’s also known as the makeup guru of the group. Fellow member Rosé dubbed her look 'Saturday Night' as it's fun, bold and perfect for a night out in town.
Lisa’s look is all about accentuating her gorgeous doll eyes, which you can recreate with some simple tricks. She tends to elongate her eyes by drawing a long, dramatic cat eye flick with black eyeliner. Missha’s popular Ultra Powerproof Slim Liner in Matte Black is the go-to for creating bold, sleek lines.
Next, a wash of brown eyeshadow will create natural-looking depth. Etude House’s Play Colour Eyes in the shade The Cafe is great as it is a 10-colour eyeshadow palette of coffee toned hues in both shimmers and mattes, allowing you to effortlessly transform a natural day look into a glammed up night look.
Finally, Lisa’s long, separated lashes complete her distinctive wide-eyed look. If you don’t have naturally long lashes or time for eyelash extensions, that’s no problem at all.
A generous dose of a lengthening, non-clumping mascara will give you a similar effect. Try Laneige’s highly-rated Lash-fessional Mascara, which gives your lashes insane lift, length and volume.
As for lips, Lisa loves a good pop of colour and is often seen wearing bright matte pinks and reds. Long-lasting and comfortable, The Face Shop’s Flat Velvet Lipstick in PK02 gives an intense wash of colour that’s perfect for creating bold, defined lip looks like Lisa’s.
Rosé: Edgy Pink
As her name suggests, you can’t really think of Rosé without thinking PINK. With pink eyeshadow being all the rage now, Rosé’s look may be the most on-trend of all. Her distinctive pink-coral shimmery smoky eye look is both soft and edgy, and accentuates her almond shaped eyes beautifully.
To achieve the same effect, blend a small amount of pink (or coral) and brown eyeshadow close to your upper lashline, and a generous amount on your lower lashline, with the darker shades at the outer corners. Then, blend a layer of shimmery or glittery peach eyeshadow on your lower lashline. The Face Shop’s Sweet Apeach Mono Pop Eyes in 01 is the perfect palette for this pink eyeshadow look.
Lastly, line your eyes with black eyeliner, keeping it subtle and close to the lashline. For added glam, use Etude House’s cult favourite: the highly pigmented, smudge-proof Oh M’Eye Line liquid eyeliner in No. 1 Oh My Black, which is perfect for precise application and strong, bold lines. Rosé tends to keep it subtler offstage, and using something like Etude House’s popular Proof 10 Gel Pencil in Dark Cacao will give you a softer look. The water- and oil-resistant gel pencil eyeliner has a soft melting formula that glides easily on your lash and sets quickly.
The rest of her makeup is kept natural and soft: a light pink or peach blush (Missha’s Glow Lip Blush) and a pink lip tint for that ever-so-popular gradient lip effect (Laneige’s Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 11 Juicy Pop).
Jisoo: Fresh & Natural
Jisoo is the queen of the 'no-makeup makeup look'. The first thing you notice about her face is how fresh and dewy it looks, and cushion foundations are the key to achieving that.
Lightweight and hydrating, Innisfree’s My To Go Cushion is a cult classic when it comes to cushion foundations.
To achieve an extra dose of dewiness and to create a soft layer of skin for your foundation to sit better on, use a sleeping mask like the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask the night before.
A fresh and glowy look isn’t complete without highlighting the high points of your face with a subtle champagne highlight. Try Laneige’s Cushion Highlighter to get that elusive but mesmerising lit-from-within glow.
To add a youthful pop of colour to your face, use soft pink blushers like The Face Shop’s Single Blush in PK01 Shah Pink.
Jisoo keeps her eye makeup natural with a thin black or brown eyeliner close to her upper lashline and a light wash of shimmery peach eyeshadow on her upper lids.
To achieve this look, use 3CE’s Triple Palette in the shade Body to Body (from any Sephora outlet in Singapore) and The Face Shop’s Ink Gel Pencil Liner in 08 Peanut Cookie.
For lips, Jisoo usually sticks with nude peaches or pinks. Innisfree’s Glow Tint Lip Balm in No. 1 Azalea or Laneige’s new Stained Glow Lip Balm in Berry Pink or Mandarin Coral will give you juicy and 'my lips but better' lips.
