Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS)
MINDS was founded in May 1962 and is one of the oldest and largest social service agencies in Singapore serving Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families.
MINDS offer a holistic range of services that support our beneficiaries and their caregivers across their lifespan, with the aim of empowering and enhancing their quality of life. These include schools, employment and training development centres, home-based care services and community-based services to cater to the educational, vocational, social and welfare needs of PWIDs.

MINDS' Beneficiaries
Siti Nur Halidah Jamaludin (Age: 21)
Halidah is a very reserved lady with a few words. She loves to listen to a wide genre of music. She is dependent on one good working eye at work but that doesn’t not stop her from enjoying her time in the Craft project unit. Art is her jam 😊
It took about 2 months for Halidah to perfect the techniques of softening , rolling and sculpting the clay. This was followed by learning how to twist rolls of pre-conditioned clay to achieve the desired marbling effects, which is later converted to one full slab of clay ready to be made into an exquisite range of clay earrings.
Teo Jun Jie Darren (Age: 27)
Darren is very meticulous with all his assigned tasks and that applies to his workspace as well. He loves spicy food and chatting with friends. Darren has been doing glass-painting in the Craft project and was just recently introduced to clay. We are glad that he has shown the same aptitude for it.
Darren is great with his detailing hence he makes a very suitable candidate to handle the clay. So far, he has shown great care during the process of training and creating the products.
