CapitaLand【为明天·为健康】 Healthcare Fund

CapitaLand Hope Foundation set up a healthcare fund – 【为明天·为健康】公益基金 on 27 January 2020 with RMB 10 million seed funding from CapitaLand Group in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in China. Administered by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA), the fund will be used to assist nationwide medical and healthcare related efforts in China’s fight against the Novel Coronavirus (nCoV). The fund looks at providing relief and support during both the emergency relief and recovery periods, takes into consideration the social impact as well as the local economic and healthcare development of the country.

Funding Updates

Since 1 February 2020, the fund has been used to send out batches of medical supplies and equipment to Wuhan and Shanghai. Click on the tabs below for more details.

First Batch

First Batch of Medical Supplies

On 1 February 2020, 750 cartons containing 375,000 pairs of medical gloves, worth about RMB 375,000, were sent to Wuhan Union Hospital and Tongji Hospital in Wuhan.

Second Batch

Second Batch of Medical Supplies

On 6 February 2020, 40,000 surgical masks (worth RMB 100,000) were dispatched from Guangzhou, China to Wuhan Union Hospital.

8 Feb 2020

Third Batch of Medical Supplies

500 barrels of disinfectant worth about RMB 200,000 were procured from Liaoning, China, and were dispatched to Wuhan Tongren Hospital.

Fourth Batch of Medical Supplies

50 ventilators worth RMB 200,000 were dispatched from Tianjin and sent to Wuhan Union Hospital, Wuhan Central Hospital and Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University.

 

Fourth Batch

Two negative pressure ambulances worth RMB 536,000 made their way from Weifang City in Shandong to Hubei General Hospital in Wuhan.

18,800 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) worth RMB 1,000,000 were delivered to the COVID-19 front-liners in Shanghai.
