About CapitaLand Tan Tay Hope Kindergarten

CapitaLand Tan Tay Hope Kindergarten is located in Thanh Hoa District, Long An Province. Built in 2010s, it is one of the more central schools accessible to children in the district. The school originally had 2 blocks. However, prior to the Usagi storm in 2018, a decision was made to demolish one block due to it being in a poor condition that may not withstand the storm.

With the opening of the new block, the school will be able to accommodate more than double its current intake of 170 children, addressing the actual need in the district of around 350 children.

How Volunteers Can Contribute

Volunteers may be involved in one or more of the following activities:

  • Contributing to the completion of the school: adding vibrancy to the school through painting, landscaping, enhancing the playground equipment, etc
  • Active participation in the inauguration ceremony of CapitaLand Tan Tay Hope Kindergarten

Volunteer Criteria
The following volunteer traits are essential for a meaningful volunteering stint:

  • Adaptability
    • Places that we visit might be unfamiliar and out of one’s comfort zone, in terms of cleanliness and convenience. Thus, adaptability to different working environments and situations is vital.
  • Cultural sensitivity
    • Have an open mind and interest in learning about different cultures.
    • Be mindful of cultural differences and ability to articulate personal convictions respectfully.
  • Humility and willingness to serve
    • Approach tasks and people with humility, driven by a genuine desire to learn and serve the local community.
  • Teamwork
    • Build trust and good rapport with fellow volunteers, local partners and community leaders, in order to work efficiently together to achieve the objectives of the project.

Registration does not confirm participation. Please do not book your travel until you receive an email confirmation. More information and work plans will be provided for confirmed volunteers.
