Influenced by his love of the Mediterranean Sea, veteran Spanish artist Juan G Ripollés views the sea as a major source of nourishment and joy. Besides providing an abundance of seafood, the sea facilitates travel, trade, recreation, exchange of ideas and an appreciation of diverse cultures. With a fish symbolising the sea as his crown and a paella pan forming his head, the King of the Sea welcomes all people with open arms.
