Jessie Lim’s ceramic sculptures from the “Abstracts” series can be simply read as drawn forms – her lines and marks constantly shift weight, direction and tone, producing spiraling ribbons, gentle curves, serrated edges, and hard angles on her forms. The series celebrates accidental occurrences, yet regimented by a pursuit of perfection.
