This artwork is inspired by the Chinese fable of “Carp Leaping Over the Dragon’s Gate”, which teaches that reward awaits those who show grit and determination. This group of 19 fishes strive for greater heights by swimming upstream against the current. As they do so, their swinging reflective metal surfaces catch light, attracting and inspiring all to show strength and determination in reaching for their goals.
