A Star Turns One

The luminary that has brightened the retail and dining experience in suburbia Buona Vista will be turning one this month. Part of the 15-storey mixed development in Vista Exchange in one-north, The Star Vista is Buona Vista’s first major mall. Its galaxy of dining outlets and retail brands combined with its award-winning green design, as part of the country’s first naturally cooled mall, have turned the one-stop lifestyle destination into a major hub for the more than 400,000 residents, students and workers there.

From 6 September to 6 October, CapitaMalls Asia will be pulling out all the stops to throw a dazzling birthday bash for The Star Vista and everyone is invited!

Birthday Presents Galore

What’s a birthday without presents? This one will have plenty – for you. S$111,000 worth of shopping and dining vouchers are up for grabs. “With every S$50 spent at The Star Vista, shoppers earn a chance at “We Are One” Grand Draw. CapitaCard and CAPITASTAR members get double the chances to win. There are 100 prizes in all: S$8,000 of vouchers for the 1 ^st prize winner; S$4,000 for the 2 ^nd ; S$2,000 for the 3 ^rd ; and S$1,000 each for the 4 ^th to 100 ^th winners. Dine, have a haircut and even a spa treatment – it will be all on The Star Vista.

The birthday star is also giving out other treats. Several stores will be having Anniversary Star Buys that play on the number “one”. So, you might be able to get $1 (U.P $12.80) for a Quarter Peri Peri Flame Grilled Chicken from Nando’s or $1 (U.P $9.90) for a Microwave Coffee Maker from Kitchen + Ware. The deal gets even sweeter for CapitaCard members who pay with their cards. They can get to enjoy $11 (U.P $36) for the Signature Pork Knuckle from Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant. During the celebration period, shoppers are rewarded in other ways for spending at The Star Vista. Spend a minimum of S$120 (S$90 for CapitaCard members), and they will receive an exclusive Jacquard Cashmere Shawl. One colour will be released each week and are waiting to be collected in this Gift-with-Purchase programme.

Those who sign up for the CAPITASTAR programme at The Star Vista will receive bonus 5,000 STAR$. Every 5,000 STAR$ can be redeemed for S$5 worth of CapitaVouchers. In addition, 10 CAPITASTAR lucky members will stand to win 100,000 STAR$ every week.

To commemorate the occasion, a customised The Star Vista fridge magnet featuring the mall’s façade has been commissioned.
