6 must-own sneakers for this season
You'll definitely find your sole mate here. The 6th one is a total shoo-in - Don't miss out!
Trainers, kicks, beaters, creps or just simply sneakers, whatever you choose to call them, there is no denying that we’ve all become sneakerheads in recent years. It’s not just about the active wear, we are wearing them everywhere and everyone from traditional sports brands such as Nike, Adidas and Reebok to luxury brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci or even Louis Vuitton, are all angling for more space in your shoe cabinet.
Cop or drop, INSIDE gives you the lowdown.
1. The Vintage
Vintage? So adorable. Gum soles have made a huge comeback in the past few seasons. These neutral tan tones add a touch of nostalgia and gravitas. Any sneakerhead worth their salt will own a pair of these.
They are not just for aesthetics. Originally made of natural rubber, the gum soles you see today are made of a synthetic rubber making it much lighter and easier to wear.
These gum soles also add more friction to your step, helping you navigate the rainy days as we inch towards the end of the year. A pair from Vans would be perfect.

2. The High Cut
Who says high tops are only for playing basketball? Take these Nikes off the court and hit the streets.
A versatile pair, you can go slim and match them with slim fitted jeans or with wide-cut shorts or wear them with a dress for a rock-inspired look.
With summer ending, reach for these high-tops as the colder weather hits.

3. The (Beautiful) Ugly
From the runways of Paris to the streets of Harajuku, these ‘ugly’ chunky pieces have been the favourites of the fashionable.
The who’s who of fashion, the Jenners and the Hadids have all been spotted wearing a pair.
The bigger the better, the louder the more lit it will be. These dad sneakers aren’t for your old man.
This pair from Puma hits all the right notes!

4. The Hybrid
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have our sock-sneakers.
Identified by their super slim and ultra-sleek profile, these shoes feature a knitted fabric construction with plastic and rubber accents, making it look like, well, a pair of socks.
Whether fly or prime, these hybrids are everywhere.
Under Armour puts a new twist on this trend. Check them out!

5. The Good Pair
The U.N. estimates that there could be more plastic than fish in our seas by 2050.
In an effort to deal with the issue, Adidas has teamed up with Parley for the Oceans, to recycle and reuse the plastic polluting the world’s oceans into shoes.
The new Adidas UltraBOOST x Parley has some radical eco-innovation behind it, reusing 11 plastic bottles to create each pair.
These shoes are not only good for your sole, but also good for your soul. They look great too.

6. The Classic
From the gym to the office and even on the red-carpet, the white trainer is ubiquitous.
There is a reason why the style endures. Classic and simple, a white pair of sneakers will go well with almost everything in your wardrobe, whether you’re a guy or girl.
The Reebok Classic Leather trainer has made a huge comeback in recent years.
First introduced almost 35 years ago, these all-white sneakers blend the old and new, and are fast acquiring its ‘it’ status.
