From fast-food joints to swanky restaurants, there are tons of burgers to sample in Singapore. Why not start your quest for the perfect burger at our malls? We’ve compiled this foodie-friendly guide to finding the best burgers!
1. Wolf Burgers
Expect to wolf down your burgers and ask for seconds at exceptionally wallet-friendly prices at Wolf Burgers, located at the new Funan! Founded by the folks at Carvers & Co, this burger joint delivers one of the best gourmet grub that even the pickiest burger aficionados can’t resist.
If you’re in the mood for a classic burger, you can’t go wrong with the Original Wolf Burger ($9.90).
This signature burger features a freshly ground beef patty that’s been grilled to form a deep and even crust for that perfect balance of juiciness and char-grilled flavour.
The beef is complemented by sharp cheddar, sweet onions, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles all on their home-made sesame seed brioche buns.
If you’re looking for something a little more luxurious, treat yourself to the Truffled Mushroom Beef Burger ($10.90) instead!
This time, their juicy beef patty is layered with creamy swiss cheese and truffled sautéed mushrooms giving you one rich and savoury bite after another.
For a guilt-free vegetarian meal, you can also tuck into Wolf Burgers’ meatless alternative with the Impossible™ Burger ($17.90) that features a 100% plant-based “beef” patty that tastes so uncannily real, you wouldn’t even know that it isn’t meat.
Wolf Burgers also sets itself apart with its wide variety of fries and sides such as the Fortune “Fries” ($8.00), starring no potatoes, but hand-cut mantou buns topped with special sweet sauce and chicken floss.
2. Bizen Okayama Wagyu Steakhouse
Part of the ASTONS group, BIZEN Okayama Wagyu Steakhouse is known for being an affordable speciality steakhouse that skillfully handpicks all their meat. They pay special attention to bring out the unique flavours of all the different cuts of meat so you know you’re getting some real bang for your buck!
If you want more than just a slab of delicious meat, their burger menu is perfect if you want to enjoy the same savoury wagyu flavour with some interesting accompaniments in the mix! Their mouth-watering Bacon and Cheese Burger ($16.90+) boasts a 100% Japanese Wagyu patty that’s flame-grilled on a high-intense charcoal grill. It’s the true American diner classic we all know and love, but with that extra succulent flavour and texture of Wagyu beef.
That’s not all though. How about adding crispy bacon strips, cheese, fresh lettuce, egg, sesame buns and fries accompany the patty to achieve a balanced and satisfying meal. For $2.50+ each, you can select from 17 side dishes, such as Sauteed Trio Mushrooms and Tomato Cucumber Salad to complete your meal.
3. Carl’s Jr
For a fuss-free option, ditch the queues and head straight for Carl’s Junior at Funan or at The Star Vista. Carl’s Jr has been here in Singapore for a long time now, and for good reason. Their burgers are made with the finest ingredients and easily almost twice the size of your typical burger at other fast food joints. The best part? Carl’s Jr is affordable and makes for a great mid-week treat!
With so many burgers on the Carl’s Jr menu, we had a hard time choosing the best one to be on this list! If we had to select one, it’d be the Portobello Mushroom ThickBurger. Belly up to chunky portobello mushrooms, cheesy velvety goodness and a succulent charbroiled 100% premium Angus beef patty. Completed with fresh onions, lettuce, tomato slices and a drizzle of portobello mushroom sauce, this burger is one we’ll eat any day.
The Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger is another yummy option that’s perfect for any big eaters out there. With two thick 100% chargrilled beef patties, bacon, cheese, hand-breaded onion rings all smothered with a generous spread of tangy BBQ sauce, this burger combines the best of your favourite fast foods, all rolled into one.
We also recommend their highly-raved Beef Chili Cheese Fries to accompany your burgers. These natural-cut french fries have just the right amount of salt and crisp and are cut perfectly to hold their own against the thick chilli beef sauce and cheese that accompanies it.
4. District 10
Situated amongst the hottest dance clubs and live music venues in Singapore, District 10’s Clarke Quay outlet is the best burger place to head to especially when you’re planning to head out for a night out on the town. Admire the charming shophouse units around that surround this restaurant, and enjoy the cooling breeze from the stunning Singapore River as you savour District 10’s Black Angus Beef Burger.
The Black Angus Beef Burger is District 10’s highlight, hitting all the right spots with a well-seasoned grilled beef patty wrapped in melted cheddar cheese. Lettuce and tomatoes are thrown in for the extra crunch, and the ensemble is completed with fluffy sesame seed buns and fries on the side.
If a burger isn’t enough to keep you satisfied before a long night’s out, you must try their Spicy Chicken Wings too! Crispy on the outside but tender on the inside, the wings are covered with a spicy sauce that’ll give you the extra oomph you need.
5. Collin’s
Last but definitely not least on our burger guide in Singapore, we have the Cheesy Pork Burger from Collin’s -- a home-grown brand that’s familiar to many of us. Dedicated to making great food accessible to all, Collin’s extensive menu always leaves you spoilt for choice. And if their normal menu isn’t enough, their extended menus at their Funan and Westgate outlets will blow you away.
Collin’s Cheesy Pork Burger ($18++) features a pork patty that’s seasoned and carefully grilled to perfection to avoid any dryness. This burger is also packed with glazed honey baked ham, crispy bacon, sharp hints of cheddar cheese, an egg, tangy barbeque sauce and a soft potato bun. Wash all of this down with a creamy and thick Chocolate Avocado milkshake ($9++) to complete the delicious meal.
