CapitaLand ranked in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, and named in Sustainability Yearbook at the World Economic Forum
First and largest real estate company in Asia to achieve ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification covering 15 countries
Singapore, 23 January 2013 – CapitaLand Limited (CapitaLand) has been ranked in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) by Corporate Knights. It is also listed in the Sustainability Yearbook 2013 by RobecoSAM, an investment specialist in Sustainability Investing, and KPMG International. Both accolades were announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland today.
It is the second time that CapitaLand is in the Global 100 listing, up 10 spots to be ranked 77th from 87th in 2012. About 4,000 companies across the world with
CapitaLand is one of the top-scoring 15% of the 3,000 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index across 58 sectors worldwide which underwent the RobecoSAM’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, leading it to be listed in the Sustainability Yearbook, one of the world’s most comprehensive publications on corporate sustainability. It serves as a guide to investors worldwide on which companies are doing the most to address the risks and opportunities of sustainability
Adding to its significant achievements in sustainability, the CapitaLand Group also achieved ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications for its Environmental, Health and Safety Management System across countries with its investment properties. It is the first and largest real estate company in Asia to achieve such certification across 15 countries in Asia Pacific and Europe. The Group expanded its scope of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification last year to include Belgium, Germany, Indonesia and Spain.
In the area of ‘leadership diversity’ for Global 100, the Group demonstrated its commitment with females forming over 30% of its top management, with five who are C-suite executives. Females also

CapitaLand is also listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) 2012/2013 and Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index 2012/2013 and named the Asian Sector Leader in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Report 2012. In 2012, CapitaLand won the ASEAN Award for Most Admired Enterprise for CSR (Large Company), and Outstanding Corporate Citizen in China by Corporate Citizen Committee of China Social Workers.
