CapitaLand supports IMDA's national e-invoicing initiative
Part of the Group's smart nation drive to improve productivity and customer experience
Singapore, 21 May 2018 – Singapore's Minister for Communications and Information S Iswaran outlined plans by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to develop Singapore’s digital economy, which included a nationwide e-invoicing initiative. The announcement was made at the inaugural Singapore Digital (SG:D) Industry Day on 21 May 2018. The aim of the event was to demonstrate to industry players how they can participate in Singapore’s journey of digital transformation.
Mr Jason Leow, Group Chief Operating Officer, CapitaLand Group, said: "At CapitaLand, we are constantly looking at ways to digitalise our business to become more agile and efficient. For instance, last month, we launched the StarPay all-in-one ePayment service on our Digital Merchant Services Suite that will also see the rollout of smart terminals in over 2,500 stores in participating CapitaLand malls across Singapore by end 2018. CapitaLand’s support for IMDA’s national e-invoicing initiative is part of our smart nation drive to improve productivity and customer experience. IMDA’s framework creates an automated supplier-buyer eco-system that will help firms advance towards end-to-end digitalisation to stay competitive in the marketplace. We look forward to working closely with our stakeholders in more innovative initiatives and support Singapore’s transformation into a smart city."
