Follow the Star | We are 1
It has been three months since COVID-19 began disrupting global travel. In my message sent last month, I shared the immediate steps we took to ensure a high standard of care for our guests during the pandemic. A month on, we continue to be vigilant in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of our properties, by ensuring that all necessary precautionary measures are in place.
We have also gone further to expand our lodging support in various ways to provide safe homes for the global community to fight against COVID-19. It is in our DNA to help provide safe abodes to our guests as well as affected communities, including workers in healthcare and essential services, who need alternative accommodation. We are also supporting people who are the most vulnerable during this period, lending a helping hand to stay safe.
ASR turns 1 this month. As one of the first loyalty programmes in the serviced residence space, we will continue to get our members further with no cap to points earned, and no minimum or blackout dates when you choose to redeem your points across our growing portfolio of serviced apartments and hotels.
It would have been a fantastic milestone for the ASR family. However, we are in a very different and difficult time compared to a year ago, when we celebrated travel with all our hearts. Many of our loyal members have come a long way with us from pre-ASR days, and we have never seen anything that has impacted travel like this before.
We would like to thank you for sticking with us through this period of uncertainty, with a little gesture of our own. We will be awarding 20% bonus points when you choose ASR points as the cancellation refund for stays booked before 20 April 2020. We have also opened up ASR to corporate guests on our online channel to earn points while staying with us. We hope these additional boosts will help you go further for your future stays, whether it is to stay longer, to travel farther, or simply to upgrade to a better room.
Home should always be your safest destination. For us to defeat COVID-19, we must all play our part. Whether you are staying at home or at one of our properties, we urge you to join us in pledging to #StayHomeWithAscott until the end of May. You pledge, we donate.
Despite the impact of COVID-19, our doors and hearts will remain open, and we look forward to welcoming you home.

Providing safe abodes to the global community
Ascott became the home for returning nationals and healthy individuals in Singapore, who found themselves in dire need of alternative accommodation at the onset of COVID-19. In France, Ascott has provided over 1,500 complimentary room nights in key cities to ease the demands of commuting for healthcare workers.
In China, as the nation gradually recovers from COVID-19, Ascott continues to care for healthcare workers, offering 630 complimentary room nights in appreciation of their hard work.
Supporting our frontline heroes
From donating surgical masks in the Philippines, distributing lunch boxes in Indonesia, to a blood donation drive in Dubai, United Arab Emirates – our team has been showing their support for local healthcare systems in their own ways, where help is needed.
Pledging to help children affected by COVID-19
Pledge to #StayHomeWithAscott and help support children impacted by COVID-19.
In view of the latest developments in some parts of the world, we are extending the call for the global community to #StayHomeWithAscott till end May. Because home is still your safest destination.
Tag #StayHomeWithAscott when you share your stay-home cooking moments and CapitaLand Hope Foundation will be donating US$10 to Save the Children’s global food security programmes with every pledge you make.
Be sure to set your profile to public for the pledge to count. This activity is open to everyone, whether you’re staying at your own home or at our serviced residences and hotels
