ABOUT CAPITALAND LE XA HOPE KINDERGARTEN

CapitaLand Le Xa Hope Kindergarten is located at Le Xa Commune in Hung Yen province, about 60km south of Hanoi in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam.

Before CHF’s intervention, the commune lacked proper early childhood education facilities. The children had to study in cramped and unsafe environment. The poor condition deterred parents from sending their children to kindergarten. In partnership with World Vision, CHF donated to support the construction of two blocks of classrooms in a new site to cater to the education needs of children aged 5 years old and below in the community.

As part of the school’s Phase 2 development, CHF is currently working with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the National University of Civil Engineering in Hanoi (NUCE) to design and build a courtyard and playground for the children.

During the expedition in May, volunteers will work alongside the lecturers and students from the two universities in completing the project and witness the opening of CHF’s first kindergarten.

  • Enrichment Programme: planning and conducting interactive learning sessions such as music, arts, sports and storytelling to enrich the children’s knowledge
