The Sun Woman is oddly proportioned and has neither a front nor a back, for she has two faces. One of them is a combination of yet two more faces in profile - the Cubist influence of simultaneous views of the same subject, while the other is pared down to just three strokes of recesses representing the eye, nose and mouth. The ears resemble the handles of a paella pan. Drawing inspiration from various sources, Spanish artist Juan Ripollés has created a curious yet delightful piece of work.
