As part of CapitaLand's commitment to sustainability, CCT plays a role in encouraging sustainability to our tenants through our green initiatives. Every year, CCT participates in Earth Hour, as a show of our support in saving the environment. We have also set up collection points for recycling electronic waste at seven of our office properties. Additionally, tenants keen on going green may also contact us to meet with our green ambassadors to have a better understanding of eco-friendly offices.

E-Waste Collection and Recycling Programme

The increasing amount of electronic waste (e-waste) is a growing problem in an increasingly modernised world, as unwanted electronic or electrical devices can pose health and environmental hazards if not disposed of properly.

We are encouraging e-waste recycling by making it easier for our tenants to do so. We’ve partnered with R2-certified Cimelia Resource Recovery, Singapore’s largest e-waste management facility, for an E-Waste Collection and Recycling Programme. (A R2 certification is recognised as the premier global environmental, worker health and safety standard for electronics refurbishing and recycling.)

Under this programme, tenants can contribute any kind of obsolete or unwanted electrical and electronic appliances such as laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, monitors, printers, servers, printed circuit boards and etc, and they will be collected and recycled, or disposed of.

The E-Waste Collection and Recycling Programme is available at seven of our office properties, including Capital Tower, CapitaGreen, Six Battery Road, One George Street, Raffles City Tower, Twenty Anson and HSBC Building. Simply place items in the e-waste collection bin located in the building or contact the tenant service centres for more details.

Download the full list of recyclable electronic items. Do note that you will also need to fill in the form when contributing to the e-waste collection.

Recycle your e-waste today, and do your part to save earth!

Earth Hour

Every year, we participate in Earth Hour, a worldwide movement organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) by turning off all non-essential lights.

In 2017, we lined up additional initiatives leading up to Earth Hour to raise environmental awareness and encourage our tenants to adopt green habits. These include:

  • CCT Eco Idea Contest – A social media contest for tenants to share creative ideas on going green through the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Read more here

  • WWF’s “Shine a Light on Climate” Road Show – Booths were set up in our properties to educate tenants on how they can play a part to change climate change

  • Switch Off, Turn Up, i Light Marina Bay Festival 2017 – CCT's properties adopted energy saving practices in support of the "Switch Off, Turn Up" campaign presented by Urban Redevelopment Authority, as part of I Light Marina Bay Festival 2017.

Be a changemaker today! We invite you to join our initiatives as an active participant in combating climate change.

Greening offices

We aim to promote the awareness of eco-living, and encourage all our tenants to go green in the office. As such, we have green ambassadors who are available to help tenants embark on their green journeys. A few of our tenants have achieved BCA Green Mark for Office Interior certification.
