OOTW: Singapore Edition

There’s nothing like living in The Little Red Dot – perennial tropical weather, incredible food selection, urban jungle views, and of course, fabulous everyday style ! So, in celebration of Singapore’s 54th birthday, The FAB Intern rummages through the wardrobe staples of every Singaporean woman and here’s what we’ve found.

Gotta admit, Singaporean women can’t resist little black and white dresses ! When it comes to our everyday casual workwear, we prefer neutral colours and classic silhouettes that are office-appropriate. Make no mistake though – today’s stylish women won’t get caught wearing traditional business attire from the olden days; we now don dresses with trendy cuts and interesting details that sets us apart from the rush hour crowd. Add some statement shoes and designer bag – we’re ready to conquer the work week ahead!

From an intimate dinner over some wine with some close friends to dancing all night long at a party, Singaporean lady will surely be dressed to impress.

For days that require that extra oomph be it for an important meeting or an after-work dinner, Singaporean women have also learned to embrace pencil skirts with a twist! With its wine-red shade, thigh high slit, and ruffle details, the Kathy Wine Slit Ruffle Skirt by All Would Envy is the perfect mix for cosmopolitan confidence. Match it with the Hara Square Neck Crochet Top in white by The Stage Walk and you're all set.

TGIF – it’s everybody’s favourite day of the week when we can finally ditch the heels and uptight dresses! On Fridays, it’s all about wearing outfits that are perfect for work and play. In recent times, we are loving the contrast of girly dresses with structured square-toe sandals.

Instead of solid colours, we unleash our fun loving side with interesting details and prints. The Ferris Wrap Midi by Fash Mob is an ideal choice! Take the chance to show off your collarbone with the flattering V neckline.

After a week of sitting at our desks, we Singaporean women love to unwind on the weekends! What better attire to wear than a reliable romper? Whether we’re out having a picnic at Botanic Gardens, doing somersaults at Sentosa, or running through Henderson Waves Bridge – we can do all that comfortably while looking cute with this handy one-piece. We particularly enjoy rompers that are made in comfortable fabrics like linen that give it a light feeling perfect for the weather.

To round off a fulfilling week, we love spending time over an indulgent brunch! For such occasion, we often find ourselves wearing easy fun dresses that evoke a fresh and youthful vibe. Light pastel colours of pink and yellow are current favourites for the summer season! These types of dresses are also perfect against Instagrammable backdrops!
