Ah Mah Homemade Cake has been producing uncomplicated and delightful castella cakes since 2017 when the store was first opened in Malaysia. Within half a year, they managed to venture overseas and launched their first international outlet in Singapore.
Chef Jim from Ah Mah Homemade Cake was influenced by the traditional castella recipe that was developed in Taiwan and decided to tailor his cakes with a local twist. Their castella cakes are freshly baked for more than an hour each day and made without preservatives or artificial colourings
Of their famous egg sponge cakes, there are a few besides the original that are worth a try. Their newly rolled out Pandan Brown Cake is a dual layered castella comprising a luscious layer of gula melaka on top of a soft and fragrant pandan layer. This local delight is made from freshly squeezed pandan and premium gula melaka mixed into Ah Mah’s signature cake batter. They also offer Multi Grain Sesame Cake, which is a healthier choice packed with the goodness of grains and nuts, but with the same velvety texture.
