Following the restructuring of CapitaLand Limited into two distinct business entities – CapitaLand Investment (CLI), the listed real estate investment management business and CapitaLand Development, the privatised property development arm, the CapitaLand Investment 2030 Sustainability Master Plan continues to serve as a strategic blueprint for CLI’s sustainability journey. Unveiled in 2020, the Master Plan outlines our ambitious goals and directs our sustainability efforts towards a shared purpose. CLI reviewed it in 2022 to strengthen our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) pillars; We strive to BUILD a resilient and resource-efficient real estate portfolio, ENABLE thriving and future-adaptive communities, and STEWARD resposible business conduct and governance. We have set ambitious ESG targets, including carbon emissions reduction targets that have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), new social targets focused on human capital development, employee wellness and customer and supplier partnerships, and increased our focus on governance.
CLI is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions for scope 1 and 2 by 2050, as part of our wider sustainability targets, which include accelerating our transition to a low-carbon business, improving water conservation and resilience, and promoting a circular economy.
CLI will continue to review our plan to ensure they remain relevant to the evolving environment and CLI's business. Read more about the CapitaLand Investment 2030 Sustainability Master Plan, our framework and our targets here!
