CapitaLand International’s investment portfolio currently spans across 40 cities in 14 countries and comprises a mix of assets including retail, commercial and lodging, amongst others.
CapitaLand entered Japan, the world’s third largest economy and one of the top real estate investment markets in Asia, in 2001.
It has a robust portfolio in Japan that is income-producing, comprising five shopping malls, four office buildings as well as 24 serviced residences and rental apartment properties.
CapitaLand sees potential to increase its AUM in the country by exploring opportunities across asset classes, including tapping various capital sources and third-party assets. Its enlarged portfolio will serve as the Group’s platform to develop a sustainable long-term growth strategy in Japan.
