Varun has deep experience in the FinTech domain and is skilled in cross-border management of FinTech operations and business planning, digital banking innovation and strategy, and regulatory strategy development (M&A). His specialization also covers FinTech ecosystem development, FinTech strategy development and implementation, FinTech corporate finance due diligence, and solution development and intrapreneurship. He is also the co-author of the book “Singapore: The FinTech Nation”.

Dr. Lillian Koh is the Founder and Chair of the FinTech Academy in Singapore, which spearheads talent development programmes and certifications for FinTech, in collaboration with universities. She is Advisor to the Institute of Blockchain Singapore and also the Director of the Center for Research and Innovation @ NTUitive, a spin-off of NTU and was the Chair of the Center of Financial Education at NTU in partnership with Citi and SGX

Adam Cowperthwaite is APAC Head of Capital Markets at Citi Private Bank. Alex Manson heads SC Ventures at Standard Chartered, a new business unit established in Mar 2018 to lead innovation and promote intrapreneurship across the Group, run a professional investment unit to invest in FinTech companies, and to promote the testing and implementation of new business models with new disruptive wholly or partially owned by the Group.

Andy has been building innovative digital products and leading high-performance teams for more than 20 years. Peet Mun leads and drives the full spectrum of the businesses and operational performance of CapitaLand’s office and business park properties, as well as sales of residential projects in Singapore.

Prior to his current appointment, Peet Mun was concurrently the Head of Investment & Asset Management in CapitaLand’s commercial REIT, CapitaLand Commercial Trust, and also Managing Director, Commercial for CapitaLand in Singapore. His experience in finance and real estate spans over 20 years during which he acquired in-depth knowledge and experience in real estate investment, asset management, and the setting up of various CapitaLand-sponsored private funds and real estate investment trusts in Singapore and Malaysia.

Dr. James Ong is an entrepreneur and community builder who has incubated, invested and mentored various technology start-ups and he is actively involved in the AI and tech ecosystem in China and ASEAN. He is the founder and CEO of Origami that provides strategy, technology and investment advisory services for venturing towards Autonomous Enterprise, founded Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity and also adjunct professor at SUTD.

Dr. Miao Weimin is the Co-founder & CEO of CriAT, an NUS FinTech spin-off company specializing in deep credit analytical technologies. Prior to CriAT, he was a Senior Research Fellow and the Operations Lead of the Credit Research Initiative at NUS.

Dr Miao is expert in credit analysis and statistical optimization. He has co-authored several research papers published in top-tier journals and co-developed sophisticated credit risk solutions for renowned financial institutions, e.g., the BuDA automated stress testing solution for IMF’s policy work. Dr Miao holds a Bachelor from Peking University, a Master from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a PhD from NUS.

Dr. Monica Mittal works as Innovation Lead at ACCESS Health International, Singapore office. She leads FinTech for Health project across six markets- India, China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam. She also leads the Accelerator Program for start-ups under Health Futures.

Rahul is a fixed income banker with deep expertise in Asian debt markets. He is passionate about equal access and transparency in bonds. Prior to starting BondEvalue in 2016, Rahul was the global head for International Corporates, Financial Market Sales at Standard Chartered Bank. His team was based across all the major SCB dealing rooms and provided Fixed Income solutions to their clients. He was also a member of the bank’s Capital Markets, global management team.

During the early part of his career, he worked in the financial markets teams at Nomura (Singapore), Credit Suisse (India) and Citibank (HK & India). He graduated from Delhi College of Engineering and did his MBA from the Indian School of Business (Deans List).
