Ambassador Kenji Shinoda visits Nusajaya Tech Park

On 28 February 2018, Nusajaya Tech Park and Mitsui jointly hosted the Japan Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Kenji Shinoda and a 100-strong Japanese delegation as part of their familiarisation tour to explore business opportunities in Iskandar Puteri. The delegates include the President of Japan Chamber of Commerce (JCCI) President and Director General of JETRO Singapore, as well as top executives of Japanese companies based in Singapore such as Canon, Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi, NEC, Toshia and IHI.

During the visit, Ambassador Shinoda shared that Iskandar Malaysia can play a role in the expansion of Japanese companies based in Singapore over the next few years. He added that the upcoming High Speed Rail and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will be a game changer for businesses in the region as it enhances connectivity between the two countries. He encouraged Japanese companies to join him in exploring opportunities in Iskandar Malaysia.

This is the second visit by His Excellency Shinoda to Nusajaya Teck Park. The first visit on 26 September 2017 was hosted by Mr Tan Yew Chin, CEO of Ascendas Singapore and Southeast Asia.
