CapitaLand Integrated Leisure, Entertainment and Conventions Pte. Ltd. (CapitaLand ILEC) pursues integrated real estate development opportunities that have leisure, entertainment and conventions as their key themes.

CapitaLand ILEC will leverage on the Group’s core competencies in residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and real estate financial products to develop large scale integrated properties with exceptional design and development concepts. At the same time, CapitaLand ILEC will harness the Group's partner relationships and intellectual capital to establish a foothold in this new business area.

In January 2007, CapitaLand ILEC embarked on its first project by taking a strategic 20% stake in Macao Studio City located on a prime site at Cotai in Macau. It will be Asia's first resort property combining theatre, TV and film production facilities, and Studio Retail™, with gaming, entertainment and world class hotels. In June 2007, a joint venture agreement was signed with Mubadala Development Company, a strategic investment and development vehicle established and wholly owned by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, to develop and manage Arzanah, a prime integrated real estate development on the land surrounding the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. This will be a unique integrated development offering a city community the ambience of resort living with the opportunity for an active lifestyle. In Bahrain’s capital city of Manama, we are developing a landmark integrated development, Raffles City Bahrain which comprises residential, retail and serviced residences.

Going forward, CapitaLand ILEC will continue to explore opportunities in Asia, Russia and the Gulf Co-operation Council region to expand.
