Building People

CapitaLand has established operations and conducts businesses in countries across Asia Pacific and Europe. We are an international company which embraces diversity in many aspects including gender, cultures, nationalities and languages. One of our focus areas is to develop competency in diversity management in our global talent base. Through our international recruitment and development programmes, we are developing more local talents to lead our businesses in our overseas locations.

Our success is built on the strengths of our strong infrastructure and our workforce which consists of more than 12,000 employees in over 20 countries. CapitaLand is committed to create valuable workplace for all employees as it realises its vision to be a leading global enterprise that enriches people and communities through high-quality real estate products and services.

Building The Most Desired Company

CapitaLand has won several accolades in recognition of its commitment to business excellence and sustainability. These achievements would not have been possible without our diverse manpower and talent pool. The list of awards accorded to the Group are available here.

Talent Management

As a multinational company headquartered in Singapore, CapitaLand adopts a 'Building People. Building Communities.' philosophy to manage a footprint that spans over 110 cities in more than 20 countries. We are always on the look out for high calibre people with strong potential to help us build a lasting and prosperous real estate company. While bringing in the best people is an important first step in our talent management strategy, bringing out the best in them is just as important.

As evident in our people-focused manifesto, CapitaLand has its own training institute, CapitaLand Institute of Management & Business (CLIMB) and Ascott Centre for Excellence (ACE), to ensure more focused, systematic and consistent human resource development. Senior Managers are also sent to leading universities like Harvard in the United States of America and the Institute for Management Development in Switzerland to further augment their professional and personal development.

Graduate Programmes

CapitaLand places a premium on developing people. We identify top students from leading universities in the world to populate our talent pipeline to support our growth. We offer the Graduate Development Programme, scholarships as well as internship opportunities for selected candidates to gain valuable exposure and learning insights into the CapitaLand business and culture.

Graduate Development Programme

At CapitaLand, we aim to grow our own timber and ensure the sustainability of our talent pipeline. The Graduate Development Programme can be likened to that of growing Tembusu trees as they embody much of the same qualities we seek in incumbents—a hardy constitution and the ability to thrive and bloom under all types of conditions. The Programme thus aims to nurture those with demonstrated potential for future management positions within the Group.

The Programme is a rare opportunity for promising young graduates to gain exposure to the hospitality, real estate and financial services businesses. When new hires come onboard as Management Executives, they can look forward to an exciting, broad based management training programme that involves working on real assignments in different business units, both locally and overseas, over a period of 12 to 18 months. High performers with demonstrated potential can expect a rewarding career with ample opportunities to stretch themselves, gain wider business exposure and acquire new competencies.
