Thank you for hanging out with us at our Earth Hour Lights-Out Party on 27 March 2010, 8.00pm – 9.30pm. The party was held at ION Orchard, which is one of the 190 CapitaLand properties worldwide that have turned off its façade lights for 10 hours from 27 March 2010, 8.30pm to Sunday 28 March 2010, 6.30am, as part of CapitaLand’s 10th anniversary.
With your support, we have received close to 7,000 pledges via CapitaLand’s Earth Hour website (www.capitaland.com/earthhour) from 1 March to 27 March. For every one of these pledges we have received, CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand, will donate S$1 to Canossaville Children's Home, a children's charity in Singapore, to improve basic living conditions for the underprivileged children by making their home more environmentally friendly.
The children of the home need as much help as they can get and your little gesture will go a long way in raising awareness of the need
for care and support for underprivileged children. As a show of goodwill, CapitaLand Hope Foundation will top up the donation to a total of S$20,000, to include purchase of basic necessities for the underprivileged children in Canossaville Children’s Home.
