StorHub's eye-catching yellow and blue buildings are located at highly visible, convenient locations; The self-storage company has 11 facilities covering the North, East and West of Singapore

An art studio where you can express your creativity, a personal gym to sweat out your stress, a dedicated space to pursue your latest hobby or even a games room for your electronic devices – these are just some of the possibilities StorHub wants you to consider when you think about the self-storage facility.

“At StorHub, we want our customers to have a good experience with us. We want our customers to see storage space as an extension of their lifestyle and living space,” said Mr Heng Tze Kiang, General Manager, StorHub.

Singapore’s largest self-storage company has 11 facilities covering the North, East and West of Singapore, many in easily accessible places or highly visible locales.

With its acquisition of Big Orange in July 2013, the wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Group now boasts over 10,000 storage units spanning over one million square feet, making StorHub a leading company in the industry.

Being the largest has allowed the company to offer more competitive prices because of economies of scale and greater choices when it comes to sizes of storage rooms.

Ease of Use

Ease of use has always been StorHub’s strong suit. The facilities function on a DIY concept. Bring your stuff, rent a space, move in immediately, and lock it all up with your own padlock. Free use of trolleys, delivery service referrals and ample loading and unloading areas mean that there is nothing too difficult to move into the space. With plenty of parking, the 24-hour facility allows you unlimited access to your possessions any time you want.

Now, StorHub’s customer-oriented focus is encapsulated in a brand new friendly logo and its website.

With the website, finding a storage space is a cinch. There are four points from which to begin: Choose a Location, Instant Size Estimator, Visual Size Estimator, and Get a Quote . The Instant Size Estimator and Visual Size Estimator are particularly handy for first-time users. With the Instant Size Estimator, you tell the system what items you want to store with a few easy clicks and the system will advise on the size of storage room you need. The Visual Size Estimator allows you to select your desired choice of storage size and tells you how much you can store in it.

With up to 88 different unit sizes to choose from, this means you only pay for what you need. For just S$34 a month, you can rent a space of five square feet. And if you have bigger needs, the space available can go up to 1,500 square feet. Flexible lease periods also make it easier for the customers, particularly businesses, to upsize or downsize according to their needs month to month. You can rent a space for as short as a month, or as long as a few years.

What's more, StorHub also provides added services to make storage a breeze. From extra lights to fans; humidifiers; racks; moving and packing supplies such as boxes, tapes, padlocks, bubble wrap, furniture cover, and gloves; and even moving services, StorHub has them all.

Safe to Use

StorHub boasts a state-of-the art security system. It is the first to use a biometric system to secure some of its facilities. Customers have to register their fingerprints which are then used to activate the lifts. The lifts will only go to the level where the customer has a storage room. Access elsewhere is denied.

In addition to 24-hour CCTV surveillance of its facilities and a fire protection system, StorHub offers complimentary insurance of up to S$15,000 coverage of your contents against burglary as well as, a service which distinguishes it from others.

Imaginative Use

There is even more in store. The company plans to challenge stead views of self-storage spaces with imaginative uses of their rooms.

For example, blogshops can use the storage rooms to store their stock. They can then install a camera so that their customers can view the products any time they want to. Alternatively, you can store your sports equipment in the facilities and frequent your very own personal gym!

In the United States where the concept of self-storage has evolved since its introduction in the 1970s, many are using the extra storage spaces beyond short-term storage of furniture or for business use.

“People there are using the space to store their sculpture collection, their first bikes, their doll collection, even their old trophies,” said Mr Heng.

StorHub offers climate-control rooms, set at 24 to 25 degrees Celsius that allow customers to store temperature-sensitive items. You can be rest assured that your winter wear, wooden furniture and musical instruments are safe from damage.

With such thoughtful features and conveniently located facilities, the storage space can also be turned into personal places for a multitude of uses. A reading area, playground, and even a personal museum – the friendly and largest self-storage operator in Singapore certainly has endless possibilities in store for you.
