NEW PARKING PAYMENT SYSTEM AT EAST COAST MALL

East Coast Mall is rolling out the surcharge-free, worry-free and hassle-free parking payment system from 7 January 2019 onwards.

The cashless payment for parking is made easy now, which means that you no longer need to hunt for small notes to pay your parking fee, making it easier for you to shop and dine with us.

What’s more? We will absorb the 10% surcharge when you park with Touch ‘n Go at East Coast Mall. And that’s not all, to further enhance the ease of use, you can drive into the carpark without a minimum balance requirement on your Touch ‘n Go card. Just make sure your Touch ‘n Go card is reloaded with sufficient balance for payment before exiting the mall.

So, gone are the days of hunting for small notes.

  • Cashless Payment Parking System

    1. When will the cashless parking be implemented?

    The cashless parking payment system will be implemented at East Coast Mall on 7 January 2019.

    2. How do I enter the carpark when cashless parking payment is implemented?

    You may enter the car park in the following options:

        2.1. Tap your NRIC / Touch 'n Go card to enter and exit the mall, or

        2.2. Press for a ticket, and pay at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk with Mastercard, VISA, My Debit, Samsung Pay or NRIC / Touch 'n Go before exiting the mall.

    3. Is there any changes in the parking rates?

    The parking rates remain the same, without any changes.

    4. How much is the rate of the cashless parking?

    Weekdays & Weekends

    RM2.00 for the first 3 hours

    RM1.00 for every subsequent 1 hour or part thereof

    RM6.00 subject to maximum/per day

    RM20.00 overnight parking

    5. Can I redeem carpark rebates with CapitaStar?

    Yes, you may redeem car park rebates whether you tap in with Touch 'n Go card or press for Ticket.

    From 7 January until 31 March 2019, you may enjoy 50% SAVINGS on your STAR$® when you redeem car park rebates at East Coast Mall:

         a.) Redeem RM1 car park rebate with 100 STAR$® (NP: 200 STAR$®)

         b.) Redeem RM2 car park rebate with 200 STAR$® (NP: 400 STAR$®)

         c.) Redeem RM3 car park rebate with 300 STAR$® (NP: 600 STAR$®)

    6. What are the cashless payment methods available for parking?

    You may pay for parking with Mastercard, VISA, My Debit, Samsung Pay or NRIC / Touch 'n Go.

    7. I have paid the parking fee and I have proof of receipt. Why I can't exit the car park?

    Please proceed to Fire Command Centre (FCC), located on Ground Floor and the Officer will verify your payment receipt and provide immediate assistance.

    8. I have paid the parking fee but I don't have the receipt. Why I can't exit the car park?

  • Parking with Touch 'n Go

    1. I don’t have a Touch ‘n Go card, how do I enter the carpark?

    You may enter the car park in the following options:

    1.1. Tap your NRIC to enter, and reload your NRIC at Touch 'n Go Self-Service Kiosk before exiting the mall, or

    1.2. Press for a ticket, and pay at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk with Mastercard, VISA, My Debit or Samsung Pay before exiting the mall.

    2. I have very low credit in my Touch ‘n Go card. Can I still use my Touch ‘n Go card to enter the mall’s parking?

    Yes, you can still enter the car park. However, you need to reload your NRIC / Touch 'n Go card before exiting the mall. 

    3. What is the minimum balance required in NRIC / Touch 'n Go card to enter the carpark?

    There is no minimum balance required. However, you need to reload your NRIC / Touch 'n Go card before exiting the mall. 

    4. Is there surcharge for using Touch 'n Go to pay for parking?

    There is no surcharge for parking payment using Touch 'n Go at East Coast Mall.

    5. I have RM0 balance on my NRIC / Touch 'n Go card, where do I reload?

    Reload service is available at Touch ‘n Go Self-Service Kiosk located at East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, as well as at Guardian (Level 2, Unit 42) and Watsons (Level 2, Unit 19, 20 & 21).

    6. I don’t have a Touch ‘n Go card. Is the card available for purchase in East Coast Mall?

    Yes, Touch ‘n Go cards are available for purchase at East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor.

    7. I entered the carpark with my NRIC. Can I exit using the newly purchased Touch 'n Go card?

    Yes. Please proceed to the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk for payment. First, place your NRIC on the reader. On the screen, select payment method by "Touch 'n Go" and follow the instruction to complete your payment. 

    8. After 12 midnight when all shops are closed and ATMs are offline, where do I reload?

    You can reload at Touch ‘n Go Self-Service Kiosk located at East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, which operates 24 hours.

    9. I’ve lost my NRIC / Touch 'n Go card, how do I exit the carpark?

    Please proceed to East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, and the Officer will verify your personnel details including your NRIC No, License, car registration and car key. If all details are complete, the Officer will issue a temporary ticket. You need to pay flat rate of RM6 if the incident is within 24 hours or RM26 after 24 hours (overnight parking charges) at the payment kiosk under lost ticket category.

    10. I lost my handbag/wallet and my NRIC / Touch 'n Go card and I have no money, how do I exit the carpark?

    Please lodge a police report, and proceed to East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, and the Officer will verify your personnel details and police report. If all details are complete, the Officer will issue a temporary ticket. You need to pay flat rate of RM6 if the incident is within 24 hours or RM26 after 24 hours (overnight parking charges) at the payment kiosk under lost ticket category.

    11. Can I pay the car park with Touch 'n Go eWallet?

    Only the physical Touch 'n Go card is accepted for payment at the moment.

    12. I'm at the carpark exit boomgate, and I do have have enough balance in my NRIC / Touch 'n Go card. What should I do?

    Please proceed to reload NRIC / Touch 'n Go card at the Touch ‘n Go Self-Service Kiosk located at East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, which operates 24 hours.

    13. How can I redeem parking rebates with CapitaStar at East Coast Mall?

    Follow these steps to redeem parking rebates with CapitaStar:

    13.1. Tap your Touch 'n Go card to enter the car park.

    13.2. Bring along your Touch 'n Go card with you.

    13.3. Launch CapitaStar App on your smartphone.

    13.4. Select "Mall" and choose "East Coast Mall".

    13.5. Look for the "Car Park Rebates" eDeal.

    13.6. Select the amount you would like to redeem (i.e. RM1, RM2, RM3).

    13.7. Select "Confirm" to confirm your redemption.

    13.8. Proceed to our Customer Service Counter located on Ground Floor.

    13.9. Present the 'Voucher' on your CapitaStar App to your Customer Service Personnel to validate your parking ticket.

    13.10. If there are unpaid balance, proceed to exit and the remaining parking fees will be deducted from your Touch 'n Go card.

    You may enter the car park in the following options:

    1.1. Tap your NRIC / Touch 'n Go card to enter, and reload your NRIC / Touch 'n Go card at Touch 'n Go Self-Service Kiosk before exiting the mall, or

    1.2. Press for a ticket, and pay at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk using NRIC / Touch 'n Go card before exiting the mall.

    2. What are the options available at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks?

    At the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks, you may pay for parking with Mastercard, VISA, My Debit, Samsung Pay or NRIC / Touch 'n Go.

    3. Where are the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks for parking located?

    The Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks for parking are located in replacement of where the automated parking system (APS) machines used to be located:

    • Basement Level
    • Ground Floor
    • 3rd Floor
    • 4th Floor

    4. How do I make payment at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks?

    Follow these steps to make payment at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks:

    4.1. Enter the carpark and press for ticket.

    4.2. Before getting your car, proceed to the nearest Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosks (located at Basement, Ground, 3rd or 4th Floor).

    4.3. Select your preferred language.

    4.4.  Select the type of transaction: 

         a.) Ticket Payment - for shoppers who pressed for ticket to enter the car park

         b.) Season Renewal - for season pass holders

         c.) Wheel Clamp - for payment to release wheel clamp

         d.) Lost Ticket - for payment of ticket loss

    4.5. Select "Ticket Payment".

    4.6. Tap parking ticket on the card reader.

    4.7.  Verify parking duration and fees.

    4.8.  Tap your payment card (MasterCard, VISA, My Debit, Samsung Pay or NRIC / Touch 'n Go) on the card reader for payment.

    4.9.  Upon successful payment, retain parking ticket for exit.

    5. I've encountered an error message at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk. What shall I do?

    You may proceed with payment at the Cashless Self-Service Payment Kiosk with another Mastercard, VISA, My Debit, Samsung Pay or Touch 'n Go card.

    If the error message persists, please proceed to East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor for further assistance.

    6. I’ve lost my carpark ticket, how do I exit the carpark?

    Please proceed to East Coast Mall’s Fire Command Centre (FCC) on Ground Floor, and the Officer will verify your personnel details including your NRIC No, License, car registration and car key. If all details are complete, the Officer will issue a temporary ticket.
