328 Katong Laksa

For those who are looking for the best Laksa in Singapore, 328 Katong Laksa is well-loved for their thick rice vermicelli noodles and extremely aromatic coconut based curry soup - balanced in taste and texture with ingredients such as coconut milk, chili, dried shrimps as well as herbs. Pair it with their signature Otak Otak, it will make breaking a sweat worth it! The numbers 328 were coined by founder Lucy Lim as it sounds similar to 'prosperous business' in Cantonese. Lim was a stall assistant until she decided to start her own laksa business - often travelling around the rest of the island to observe and sample from other laksa stalls before coming up with a recipe of her own. What started out as a small family business by Lim has now transformed into an award winning laksa joint - having obtained a Michelin Star and won the famous Laksa Challenge against Gordon Ramsey. Not to mention, plastered on the walls of 328 Katong Laksa are the pictures of Hong Kong star Tony Leung Chiu-Wai's visit when he was in Singapore for an awards ceremony.
