Godmama was founded in 2018 and offers a Peranakan touch to contemporary dishes in Singapore. Inspired by the founder’s Mama and Godma, the recipes at Godmama celebrates their legacy and delivers all that the Peranakan culture has to offer, from rich flavours to the warmth of family. This Peranakan restaurant strives to and continuously supports Singapore brands by sourcing local produce and ware, such as procuring tea leaves and coffee beans from ETTE Tea Co. and TAD Coffee.
Godmama offers brunch, lunch and dinner menus, from sharing platters to authentically Peranakan mains and cocktails as well as desserts. Their brunch menu offers refreshing twists on classic western dishes such as Otak Otak Benedict that features grilled otak otak fish mousse with sourdough toast and poached eggs topped with creamy hollandaise sauce. Their Durian Pengat Buttermilk Pancakes which includes rich durian pengat on 3 pancakes topped with vanilla bean ice cream and coconut crumble is a tasty choice as well. There is also an executive set lunch boasting dishes like Beef Rendang and Ayam Buah Keluak that is a classic Nyonya spicy and tangy chicken stew with black nut infused with fresh root spices of blue ginger and turmeric. Their dinner menu serves up more extensive and premium meats and seafood with specialties such as the All-Star Egg Skin Popiah, Babi Assam which features Godmama’s signature pork belly simmered in an aromatic tamarind stew. Godmama offers drinks with Singaporean influences like Ondeh Ondeh Latte, Pandan Chiffon Green Tea and Lychee Kris Earl Grey.
