Established in 1991 in Boston, Fresh is an artisanal apothecary shop specialising in skincare, fragrances and cosmetics products. The brand was founded by avant-gardes in natural skincare - Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg. In 2000, the brand was acquired by luxury fashion conglomerate – LVMH which also owns 70 other brands including Veuve Clicquot, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Sephora. Fresh was founded on the belief that profound change was needed in the beauty industry – for products to be effective, indulgent and natural. The brand has been ascribed a number of industry novelties; notably, the revolutionary use of sugar as a natural humectant. Fresh’s product philosophy combines natural ingredients with modern science and time-honoured rituals to offer a sensorial experience with substantiated results. One of Fresh’s most iconic products would be the Crème Ancienne, a face cream formulated by 8 monks in a Bohemian monastery. The Crème Ancienne carries an age-old savoir-faire, which contains Rosewater, Beeswax, Meadow-foam seed oil and Chamomile Wax to create a nourishing, texture-perfect formula.
