CCT Eco Race 2017 – Live Green Be Fit

The CCT Eco Race 2017 on Saturday, 30 September 2017 brought together 380 participants from 32 tenants across CCT’s office buildings.

Flagged off by Lynette Leong, CEO of CapitaLand Commercial Trust Management Limited, the annual Race around Singapore’s CBD and performing challenges at various checkpoints, took on a refreshed format, including a Fun Run category and a scoring system to raise the bar for participants.

The 95 teams were tested through fun yet challenging game stations, designed in collaboration with event partner Building and Construction Authority (BCA), fitness partner Fitness First, and with Health Promotion Board and National Environment Agency, aimed to promote greater awareness of environmental sustainability and a healthy lifestyle.

Teams raced to complete seven game challenges in the shortest time possible to vie for the up to $30,000 worth of prizes, sponsored by CapitaLand, BCA, Fitness First and the Ascott Limited. Teams from Fitness First and State Street topped the Competitive and Fun Run categories respectively.

Most of the participants loved the event. “The games were quite interesting and the event was well-organised,” shared a participant from Cargill, a tenant at CapitaGreen. “Solid prizes. Highly creative with the games. A lot of fun,” said another participant from Economic Development Board, a tenant at Raffles City Tower.

Together with CCT’s charity sponsor, CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand, a total of $46,000 was raised through CCT Eco Race 2017 and other efforts and donated to Rainbow Centre Singapore, a charity supported by Community Chest, and CCT’s adopted charity for 2017.

The event’s other sponsors included CapitaStar and oBike and was supported by the Singapore Green Building Council.
