Responsible AI Governance

CapitaLand Investment Limited's (“CLI”) guidelines on Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems is a group-wide policy that sets out principles for safe and responsible AI adoption. It covers key areas including data privacy, cybersecurity, bias mitigation, human oversight, transparency and accountability. All AI tools are subject to appropriate security and governance reviews, and employees are required to comply with applicable data protection requirements and use only approved AI systems.

The AI Governance Board, comprising representatives from Group Legal, Group Risk and Group Digital & Technology, reviews AI solutions prior to deployment to ensure risks are appropriately assessed and mitigated. This is supported by governance processes, monitoring mechanisms, internal guidelines and employee training programmes that promote the responsible and secure use of AI across the organisation. While AI can enhance productivity and decision-making, employees remain accountable for validating outputs, exercising professional judgement and making final decisions.

CLI aims to establish a responsible AI programme that balances innovation with risk management, while strengthening trust, transparency and long-term value creation.
