CapitaLand Investment (CLI) upholds high standards of corporate governance and transparency to safeguard shareholders’ interests. CLI is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), reflecting our commitment towards contributing to a sustainable global economy for present and future generations. Since end 2017, CapitaLand progressively rolled out CapitaLand Supply Chain Code of Conduct to influence our supply chain to operate responsibly in the areas of anti-corruption, human rights, health and safety, as well as environmental management. CapitaLand Group has pledged support for Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations and has voluntarily disclosed climate-related financial disclosures in four key areas as recommended by the TCFD.

CLI is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Asia-Pacific Index, GRESB, FTSE4Good Index Series, MSCI Global Sustainability Indexes, Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations Index, and The Sustainability Yearbook.

Investments

  • Shadow internal carbon price used to quantify future carbon value exposure of asset, & to calculate a Return on Sustainability for all green investments, where feasible

Asset & Portfolio Management

* The ESIA is carried out during the feasibility study as part of its due diligence of CLI’s investment in operational assets or development projects, including pre-purchase, acquisition, and investment of new properties. This involves establishing the baseline environmental performance metrics such as energy efficiency and comparing it against CLI’s 2030 sustainability targets.

Sustainable finance

We leverage sustainable finance for decarbonisation. Since 2018, over S$20.3 billion in sustainable finance has been raised by CLI, including its listed REITs & business trusts.
