1.      INTRODUCTION

1.1     Spend-Based Rewards and Top Spender Rewards (the “Promotions”) are exclusive to members of CapitaStar Rewards (referred to as “Eligible Shopper”). Shoppers can download the CapitaStar mobile applications and sign up within the App as a member to qualify and participate in these Promotions. The Rewards in these Promotions are only awarded for the qualifying spends at IMM and Westgate during the Promotion Period (as defined herein below) as shown in the table in Clause 1.4 below.

1.2    The Promotions are organised by CapitaLand Retail Management Pte Ltd (“Organiser”) and shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”).

1.3    The promotion period (“Promotion Period”) is from 19 Aug to 10 Sep 2023, both dates inclusive.

1.4    The Promotion mechanics are as follows:

1.4.1    Eligible Shoppers must spend the minimum transactional value (“Qualifying Spend”) at participating stores in the participating CapitaLand Malls to receive the relevant amount of eCapitaVoucher and eVoucher (“Rewards”) as shown in the table below.

1.4.2    Eligible Shoppers can submit their receipt with a transactional value of Singapore Dollars Sixty (S$60) or more in a single receipt each trade category, which have been made at the Participating Stores on the same day (“Eligible Transaction/ Receipt”) to qualify for the eCapitaVoucher Reward with regards to Clause 3.2 of this Terms and Condition herein. Limited to one redemption per shopper per category per day per mall.

1.4.3    For Top Spender Rewards, members stand to win the following $100 eCapitaVoucher and $500 eCapitaVoucher (as “Rewards”)

·   Top Spenders will be notified in writing by email / CapitaStar in-app notification.

·   The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any Reward Winner subsequently found to be ineligible or disqualified from the Promotion.

·   The Organiser may at any time and without notice in its sole and absolute discretion and without assigning any reason, substitute any Reward with any other item of a similar or greater value.

1.4.4    Only receipts snapped and uploaded to the CapitaStar app on the same day of purchase will be accepted for the purpose of satisfying the Qualifying Spend. For purchases made via eCapitaVoucher, Eligible Shoppers are still required to snap the receipts and upload to the CapitaStar app on the same day of purchase. For purchases made via DBS payment mode – DBS/POSB Credit or Debit cards and DBS PayLah! (DBS PayLah! account must be linked to CapitaStar app), no scanning of receipt(s) is necessary. Receipts with transactional value of less than Singapore Dollars Sixty (S$60) shall not be accepted, for these Promotions, to be combined to satisfy the Qualifying Spend.

1.4.5    For the avoidance of doubt, the Eligible Transaction/ Receipt used to redeem the eVoucher can also be used for the purposes of satisfying the Qualifying Spend for the eCapitaVoucher at the same CapitaLand Malls.

1.5    The eCapitaVoucher will be available for redemption through the CapitaStar app from 10am on each day of the Promotion Period. Eligible Receipts snapped and submitted through the CapitaStar app before 10am will not qualify for the Promotion. The eCapitaVoucher will be automatically credited directly into the CapitaStar app of the Qualifying Eligible Member upon qualification of all Eligible Receipt(s) snapped and approved.

1.6    The eCapitaVoucher awarded will expire in three months from the date of issuance. Eligible Shoppers can tap on the “My Vouchers” tab from the CapitaStar app to view the Reward and the expiry date. The Organiser shall not be obliged to entertain any request to extend the validity of the eCapitaVoucher.

1.7    The eCapitaVoucher in the Promotions are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and redemption of the eCapitaVoucher are subject to availability at the respective participating CapitaLand Malls, while stocks last.

2.      ELIGIBILITY

2.1    Without limiting the generality of the above, the following persons shall not be eligible for the Promotion:

a.    employees of any retail tenants in the participating CapitaLand Malls; and

b.    persons who the Organiser may decide to exclude at its discretion without notice and without providing any reason, at any time.

3.      QUALIFYING SPEND

3.1     Only the total final amount paid as indicated on the tax invoice(s)/ receipt(s) issued by the participating store(s) will be accepted for the Promotions. NETS or credit/debit card transaction slips are not acceptable in place of original copies of shopping receipts.

Notwithstanding Clause 1.4 of this Terms and Conditions hereinabove, receipt(s) from non-participating stores, car grooming services, SingPost transactions, purchase of parking coupons, purchase or top up of Cashcard / stored value cards, purchase or top up of stores’ membership card, gift cards and vouchers (i.e. eCapitaVoucher or participating stores’ vouchers), SISTIC transactions, AXS / SAM machines transactions and bill payments, purchase of lottery tickets, purchase of movie tickets and food and beverages at cinema, any transactions at pawn shops and money changer, bank and other financial institutions’ transactions and transactions from pushcarts and stalls at temporary roadshows at the participating CapitaLand Malls are not eligible for use as a receipt in these Promotions. For purchases of goods and services made by instalments, only the instalment receipt showing the value of the purchase(s) made on the same day of the redemption, will be eligible for use as a receipt in these Promotions for CapitaStar Rewards programme. Receipt(s) from deposit placements, order placements, and payments using tenant / credit card loyalty points will not be accepted for the purposes of these Promotions.

3.2    The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipts and/or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive.

3.3    The Organiser reserves the right to verify all purchases made by the Eligible Shopper and the tax invoice(s)/ receipt(s) before processing the redemption of the eCapitaVoucher Reward and eVoucher Reward in the Promotions.

3.4    Receipts shall be considered expended for the purposes of these Promotions and other promotions in the CapitaLand Mall when it is used to redeem the eCapitaVoucher. Save as provided for in this Terms and Conditions, receipts cannot be used for redemption of multiple eCapitaVoucher. Receipts cannot be used for redemption of more than one promotion at any CapitaLand Mall, but the Eligible Transaction/ Receipt used to redeem the eVoucher Reward can be used for the purposes of satisfying the Qualifying Spend for the eCapitaVoucher at the respective participating CapitaLand Malls.

4.      GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

4.1    Eligible Shoppers must snap the receipt(s) through their CapitaStar app on the same day of purchase during the Promotion Period and only approved receipt(s) will qualify for these Promotions.

4.2    The eCapitaVoucher cannot be exchanged for different denomination and are subject to the relevant terms and conditions governing the use of the eCapitaVouchers. Please refer to eCapitaVouchers terms and conditions.

4.3    By participating in this Promotion, the Member (CapitaStar members):

4.3.1  acknowledges and consents to the processing, collection, use and disclosure of his/ her Personal Data by the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries and related corporations including its holding company, CapitaLand Investment Limited (collectively, “CapitaLand Group”), and authorised agents, business partners and service providers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulations and guidelines to facilitate the administration of the Promotion including compliance with the Promotion Terms and Condition and that he/ she has read and agreed with the CapitaLand Group’s and Data Protection Policy available at https://www.capitaland.com/international/en/legal-notices/privacy-policy.html  and  may be amended, replaced, substituted from time to time.

4.3.2   agrees that the Organizer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, business partners and respective officers and employees shall not be liable for any actions, claims, demands, injuries, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any nature sustained by the member directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with this Promotion. The member shall indemnify and keep the Organizer and its officers, servants, agents and employees ("the Indemnified Parties") fully indemnified against any and all loss, damage, demand, liability, claims, expenses and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) suffered and/or incurred by any of the Indemnified Parties as a result of the breach of any of the terms and conditions herein by the member. Members are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all the T&Cs set out herein, as well as any other requirements set out in any related promotional material, and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications there to as may be made from time to time.

4.4    Acceptance of any Reward shall constitute consent on the part of the Eligible Shopper to allow the use of his/ her name, image, voice and/or likeness by the Organizer for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.

4.5    All eCapitaVoucher are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, unless otherwise stated.

4.6    The eCapitaVoucher shall be awarded on the presumption that the submitted tax invoice(s), receipt(s) and/ or charge slip(s) are original copies and valid. The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipt and/ or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive. In the event any tax invoice, receipt and/ or charge slip is rejected by the Organiser as invalid, the Organiser shall reserve the right to void the eCapitaVoucher awarded to the Eligible Shopper and recover the monetary value of the eCapitaVoucher.

4.7    The Organiser and its partner(s) (if any) in these Promotions reserve the right to change, vary, replace, substitute, amend, withdrawal or cancel this Promotion and/or any of the terms and conditions herein at their sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice or any liability to any party.

4.8    The Organiser does not make any warranty or representation in relation to any product or services offered in these Promotions or redeemed by vouchers or gift certificates and shall not accept any liability in respect of the same.

4.9    By participating in these Promotions, the Eligible Shopper represents that he/she has read and agreed with these Promotion Terms and Conditions.

4.10    This Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and all participants in these Promotions irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts to resolve all disputes.

4.11    The Organizer's decision on all matters relating to the Promotions shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.

4.12    Information stated in this Promotion’s Terms and Conditions is correct at the time printing and is subject to change without prior notice.

1.    Which are the participating malls?

IMM and Westgate are the participating malls for Shop, Eat & Glow this year.

2.    How much do I have to spend to take part in the promotions?

Eligible Shoppers must spend the minimum transactional value (“Qualifying Spend”) at participating stores in the participating CapitaLand Malls to receive the relevant amount of eCapitaVoucher and eVoucher (“Rewards”) as shown in the table below.

3.    How do I participate in the promotions? 

All shoppers must download the CapitaStar app, sign up as a CapitaStar member and snap their same-day, same-mall receipts on the same day of purchase via the CapitaStar App from 10am during the Promotion Period to receive the rewards. Only approved receipts will qualify for the promotions, available on a while-stocks-last basis.

Strictly no scanning of receipts at the Customer Service Counter.

4.    Is there a cap to the number of receipts a member can submit to be eligible for the rewards?

No. For Spend-Based Rewards, there is a minimum spend of $60 in single receipt to be eligible for rewards. Limited to one redemption per shopper per category per day per mall.

5.    Can I combine my receipts to qualify for Spend-Based Reward of $5 eCapitaVoucher?

No, combination of receipts from different malls and different stores are not allowed.

6.    Am I guaranteed to receive promotions’ rewards if I meet the above qualifying spend criteria in both malls?

No, redemptions are based on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

For spend-based reward, it is only valid for same-day, same-mall receipts of minimum S$60 in a single receipt. Strictly no mixing of receipts across malls.

7.    If I spend in both malls within the same day and meet spending criteria for respective malls, will I receive rewards from both malls?

Yes, you will be eligible to redeem the rewards from both malls if you meet the minimum spending per mall and subject to availability of stocks. 

8.    If I combined receipts from 2 different malls to meet the minimum spending criteria, will I receive the reward?

No, combination of receipts from different malls is not allowed.

9.    Can I still accumulate my daily awarding of STAR$^®

Yes. Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11.59pm) to be eligible for STAR$®. For more information on FAQ for CapitaStar program, you can visit (https://www.capitastar.com/sg/en/capitastar-app/faq.html).

10.   Do I still need to snap in my receipts if I have linked my CapitaStar account to DBS Paylah!?

No, members who have linked their CapitaStar account on DBS PayLah! and transacted with DBS payment modes do not have to snap their receipts on the CapitaStar app. For members who still proceed to snap their receipts, the receipts will be rejected to avoid double rewarding.

11.    Will there be any extension if I forget to scan my receipts?

There will strictly be no extension for expired receipts and/or expiry date of the rewards. Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11:59pm) to be eligible for STAR$^®.  

12.    If my receipts are rejected, what shouId do?

13.    Is there an expiry date of eCapitaVoucher to my account?

eCapitaVoucher awarded under this campaign will expire in 90 days upon credited reward. You may refer to CapitaStar App – “My Balance Summary” for the expiry date of your eCapitaVoucher earned.

14.    How soon will the eCapitaVoucher be credited?

The eCapitaVoucher will be credited within 10 minutes upon receipt(s) approval. However, do note that receipt approval may take up to 24 hours.
