The campaign is part of CapitaLand’s long-standing commitment to community development in Vietnam.  Bringing together employees, partners, and the community, the campaign will run from 26 June to 12 October 2025, featuring an online step challenge and an outdoor community walk event.  CHF has pledged to donate up to US$97,000 (over VND2.4 billion[1]) once the joint target of 400 million online steps and 40 million event steps is reached.  Participants are encouraged to log steps online throughout the campaign and join the culminating outdoor event on 12 October 2025 at Ocean City in Hanoi.  Two scenic walking routes (2km and 5km) will be available, and the event is open to individuals of all ages.  Registration is available at https://togetherwestep.vn/ha-noi-2025-en/.

This is part of a three-year commitment worth up to a total of US$270,000 (over VND6.7 billion), to support street children and vulnerable students in Vietnam.  Previously, CHF pledged US$75,000 (over VND1.8 billion) to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to improve the social mobility of children and youth facing adversities through access to education, vocational training, career orientation, life skills development and leadership training.

Mr Alwin Low, General Manager of North Vietnam of CapitaLand Development (Vietnam), said: “We believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.  Through our continued partnership with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, we are taking tangible steps to empower street children and students with the education and support they need to break the cycle of poverty.  As CapitaLand Hope Foundation marks 20 years of giving this year, this campaign is a meaningful way for us to reaffirm our commitment to driving long-term, sustainable impact in Vietnam.  Last year, we were heartened to welcome over 5,000 participants to the outdoor community event in the capital city.  This year, we aim to double that number and look forward to rallying the support of the wider community and partnering with like-minded organisations to amplify our impact and create lasting change.”

Mr Do Duy Vi, Co-CEO of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, said: “To us, kindness is more than a value; it is a powerful force that unlocks meaningful change, especially for vulnerable children.  Through this ‘Together We Step: Step For Kindness’, we are honoured to partner once again with CapitaLand to help more street children leave the streets, return to school and build a future rooted in safety, learning and hope.  This continued partnership enables us to go further, do more and inspire children to dream bigger.  Every step we take together will be a step towards dignity, opportunity and a brighter tomorrow for Vietnam’s youth.”

Since 2011, CLD, through CHF, has contributed approximately VND70 billion (US$2.8 million) towards corporate social responsibility initiatives in Vietnam.  These efforts have benefitted more than 19,000 children and youth, with over 26,000 volunteer hours contributed by CapitaLand staff and community volunteers.  Notable initiatives include the refurbishment of five schools in Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Long An, and Bac Giang provinces, and education-focused programmes such as the ‘My Schoolbag’ Programme, CapitaLand Kids Programme @ Education Bursary, and the Nutrition Project under CapitaLand Hope School Programme.

The Fullton, CLD’s first low-rise development in Hung Yen province, Greater Hanoi, is the main sponsor of the Hanoi campaign.  With a projected development value of approximately US$800 million, The Fullton spans 25 hectares over multiple phases, delivering 342 residential units in the first phase and an additional 350 units in the second phase.  Other sponsors supporting the outdoor community event include The Ascott Vietnam, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – Cau Giay Branch, California Fitness & Yoga Centers, BreadTalk, TLG Production, Trade and Services Joint Stock Company, Bao Minh Insurance Corporation, Vexere Trading Services Co., Ltd.  These sponsors will contribute resources and on-ground engagement for participants, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the #GivingAsOne initiative and reinforcing collective efforts to uplift vulnerable communities.
