Innisfree is a South Korean beauty brand established by Amore Pacific in 2000. The beauty chain was conceptualised on the ideology of sharing the natural benefits of agrestic plants in the Unesco World Heritage site – Jeju Island. The brand is inspired by the emphatic green shades of the Jeju Bija forest, symbolising its sincere endeavour to deliver natural beauty. Since its inception, the all-natural brand has set its footprints across the world in regions such as Singapore, India, Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Malaysia.
Innisfree’s rich history begins in the hilly terrains of Mount Halla, where the late founder - Suh Sung Hwan transformed the undulant landscapes into rolls of green tea fields. These pesticide-free fields are now one of the largest tea-producing districts in the world. Innisfree is also renowned for its green ethos, where product packaging and design are crafted from eco-friendly materials. To accentuate this commitment, staff business cards are even made from recycled tangerine peel.
One of Innisfree’s most popular range would be its pore-purifying Jeju Volcanic Line which features nutrient-rich volcanic clay that controls sebum more effectively than conventional mud clay. In addition, granular volcanic clay exfoliates and enhances the skin, minimising irritation and locks in moisture.
