Vietnam, 8 June 2026 – CapitaLand Development (CLD) (Vietnam) distributed school essentials through CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), to more than 2,000 students across five schools under the CapitaLand Hope School Programme to enhance their access to resources and support of their education journey. More than 100 staff volunteers from CLD (Vietnam) and The Ascott Limited1 took part in the activities held during end-of-term celebrations from 26 to 29 May 2026.

Students from Tan Tay Kindergarten and Thanh Phuoc Primary School (Tay Ninh province), Le Xa Kindergarten (Hung Yen), Quang Yen Primary School (Phu Tho) and Tien Son Primary School (Bac Ninh) received school supplies, including desk lamps and raincoats. Volunteers also engaged students through school-based activities to foster meaningful connections and create memorable experiences with the children.

As part of CHF’s long-term scholarship programme, run in partnership with ASSIST INC., CLD staff volunteers also visited 30 students during the end-of-term celebrations at their secondary schools. CHF pledged up to S$500,000 (approximately VND10 billion2) in 2025 to provide sustained education support for these students from three CapitaLand Hope Schools in Vietnam. The recipients who have now completed Grade 6, were awarded the scholarships last year. They will continue to receive support through secondary school and beyond - strengthening social mobility and nurturing resilient, future-ready children.

Scholarship recipients were selected based on a comprehensive assessment of socio-economic needs, academic outcomes, conduct, and commitment to learning. The programme covers essential schooling expenses, including textbooks, uniforms, health insurance, and other necessities, to support their transition into secondary school.

Tan Wee Hsien, CEO, CLD Vietnam and International, said: “Each school visit reminds us that small gestures can make a meaningful difference. This programme reflects CLD’s commitment to enhancing lives and uplifting the communities we operate in. Together with our colleagues and partners, we continue to expand access to learning opportunities that help students move forward with confidence and build resilience.”

Lam Thi Ngoc Ha, Principal of Tan Tay Kindergarten, said: “We see the impact of this support in everyday moments: students coming to class better prepared, participating more actively and believing they can go further. We appreciate CapitaLand and CHF’s sustained partnership, which strengthens our learning environment and gives our students added encouragement as they move on to junior high school and beyond.”

Since 2011, CLD, through CHF, has donated approximately VND82 billion in corporate social responsibility initiatives in Vietnam, benefiting nearly 21,000 children and youth. CapitaLand staff and community volunteers have also contributed over 26,000 volunteer hours in support of these efforts. Key initiatives include the refurbishment of five schools in Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Tay Ninh and Bac Ninh provinces, as well as education-focused programmes such as the ‘My Schoolbag’ Programme, CapitaLand Kids Programme @ Education Bursary and the Nutrition Project under the CapitaLand Hope School Programme.

In 2025, CHF awarded S$3.4 million (VND68 billion) under its inaugural Community Resilience Initiative to 12 grantees across China, India, Singapore and Vietnam to strengthen social resilience among children and youth in Asia. In Vietnam, the selected grantees will support initiatives that address social challenges such as education for youths-in-need, holistic caregiver support for children with disabilities, and inclusive education for disadvantaged communities. Building on that momentum, this initiative has announced its continuation into 2026, reinforcing our commitment to delivering long-lasting impact and ensuring the sustainable effectiveness of these programs for Vietnam’s future generations.
