#LoveOurSeniors Essential Care Pack

#LoveOurSeniors Essential Care Pack activity is back for its fifth year!

Join us in packing and delivering 2,000 essential care packs filled with food and daily essentials to vulnerable seniors across Singapore from Allkin Singapore, Dorcas Home Care, Fei Yue Community Services and TOUCH Community Services.

This activity is part of the #LoveOurSeniors initiative supported by the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand Group, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), which aims to improve the quality of life of seniors through better nutrition, enhanced well-being and improved living conditions.

Volunteer Roles:

  • Pack food and daily essentials into care packs of love
  • Provide vital logistics support to move the care packs onto delivery vehicles

An online volunteer briefing session will be organised to equip volunteers with the necessary information for this activity.

#LoveOurSeniors Essential Care Pack Packing & Logistics Support - FAQs

The size is around 42cm (L) x 19cm (W) x 31.5cm (H)​, and it weighs about 4 - 5kg.

The care pack contains essential items such as daily necessities and food for the seniors.

You may choose to volunteer on one or both days.

We will circulate the briefing deck via email and through a WhatsApp group chat, so that everyone is kept updated with the latest information.

You may choose to volunteer for either one of or both activities.

Volunteer Role: 

  • Door-to-door delivery of care packs to beneficiaries with your own transportation or carpool with other volunteers 

Note: For volunteers without personal transportation, we will aim to team you up with a volunteer driver. 

An online volunteer briefing session will be organised to equip volunteers with the necessary information for this activity.

To prioritise the safety of our senior community members, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated, with at least one booster shot if eligible. This additional measure helps to minimise health risks to those who are most vulnerable, and it allows us to confidently provide essential services.

#LoveOurSeniors Essential Care Pack Delivery - FAQs

Yes, we will aim to team you up with volunteers with their own transportation.

The size is around 42cm (L) x 19cm (W) x 31.5cm (H)​, and it weighs about 4 - 5kg. Each team will be assigned to deliver around 15 - 20 care packs.

The care pack contains essential items such as daily necessities and food for the seniors. 

You may choose to volunteer on one or both days.

You may choose to volunteer for either one of or both activities.

You may indicate your preference in the registration form. To optimise volunteer groupings, we may assign additional volunteers to your team, up to a maximum of 4 volunteers, including the driver.

You may leave from your last delivery location once you have completed your deliveries.

We strongly encourage at least one team member to attend the briefing. We will circulate the briefing deck via email and through a WhatsApp group chat, so that everyone is kept updated with the latest information.

We will create a WhatsApp group chat to disseminate important information to volunteers and to respond to any questions you may have.

Volunteers will deliver the care packs to various locations across the island. We aim to assign delivery locations that are near or within the same vicinity. 

Prior to the activity, volunteers will be informed of their assigned delivery areas. Each team will also receive physical address lists on the volunteer day(s) to ensure smooth deliveries.

#LoveOurSeniors Meal Delivery

A special meal can brighten one's day. 

As part of the #LoveOurSeniors initiative, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF) is supporting TOUCH Community Services and Dorcas Home Care to provide vulnerable seniors across Singapore with special meals. This complements the national 'Meals-on-Wheels' initiative which supports frail and homebound seniors who are unable to purchase or prepare food by themselves, or do not have caregivers who can provide for them due to work and family circumstances.

Volunteer Role:

  • Door-to-door delivery of special meals to the beneficiaries residing in various locations via personal or public transport, according to the provided schedule

An online volunteer briefing session will be organised to equip volunteers with the necessary information for this activity.

#LoveOurSeniors Meal Delivery - FAQs

Each team will deliver 15 to 30 sets of meals, depending on the distance between each delivery location and the number of volunteers per team. We aim to assign delivery locations close to or in the same vicinity, for everyone.

We strongly encourage volunteers to bring along their own reusable bags and/or grocery trolleys.

Yes, we will aim to team you up with volunteers with their own transportation or others without, so you can travel on public transport or on foot together.

Each team usually has 2 - 4 volunteers.

You may indicate your preference in the registration form. Fellow volunteers must work in a CapitaLand building.
