This festive lineup is designed to bring abundance, prosperity, and togetherness to every table. Available from 1 January to 28 February 2026, the Taste of Fortune series features three limited-edition prosperity-themed sushi creations, thoughtfully crafted to celebrate beloved Chinese New Year traditions.

Staying true to Sushi Express’ commitment to freshness, quality, and affordability, the series reinterprets festive flavours using premium ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship—offering diners a meaningful and accessible way to celebrate the season.

Auspicious Citrus Aburi Salmon ($2++):
Featuring the vibrant flavours of torched premium Norwegian salmon coated with a creamy, tangy caramel tangerine sauce atop a savoury barbecue sauce, this sushi takes inspiration from the tradition of gifting mandarin oranges during Lunar New Year. With a barely discernible dash of paprika for an auspicious red finish, it makes for a bright, refreshing bite with a sweet-savoury balance and a citrus aroma, ideal for welcoming great fortune in the year ahead.

Golden Abalone ($3++):
Symbolising wealth and abundance, this festive sushi pairs abalone on shell with sour plum yusheng sauce and a spread of edible gold powder. Inspired by the well-loved lo hei tradition (捞鱼生), each piece offers a tangy, premium, and luxurious flavour experience. 

Scallop of Fortune ($3++):
Crafted for those wishing for a year of smooth-sailing prosperity (鸿運当头), this indulgent creation features torched succulent scallop and a generous spread of mentaiko mayonnaise and topped with herring roe and a dusting of edible gold powder. The combination delivers a rich, creamy umami that embodies celebration and wealth in every bite.
