Terms & Conditions

1.   INTRODUCTION

1.1.  “A Cinematic Odyssey at CapitaLand Malls – Unlock Blockbuster Perks” (the “Promotion”) is exclusive to members of CapitaStar Rewards (referred to as “Eligible Shopper”). Shoppers can download the CapitaStar mobile application and sign up within the app as a member to qualify and participate in this Promotion. CapitaStar Rewards (Refer to CapitaStar Rewards Programme) is only awarded for the qualifying spend at participating CapitaLand malls as shown in the table below.

1.2. The Promotion is organised by CapitaLand Retail Management Pte Ltd (“Organiser”) and shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”).

1.3. The promotion period (“Promotion Period”) is from 5 May to 27 June 2025, both dates inclusive.

1.4. The Promotion mechanics of the “A Cinematic Odyssey at CapitaLand Malls – Unlock Blockbuster Perks” Promotion are as follows:

1.4.1. Eligible Shoppers must spend the minimum transactional value at the relevant participating CapitaLand mall as shown in the table below (“Qualifying Spend”) at the respective participating CapitaLand mall to receive the relevant amount of eCapitaVoucher (eCV) and relevant Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher (“Reward”).

*The Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher entitles Eligible Shoppers to register their interest for the Cinematic Experience during the registration period stated in the eVoucher.

1.4.2.   Eligible Shoppers can combine any number of receipts with transactional value of Singapore Dollars Twenty (S$20) or more from the same participating CapitaLand malls on the same day (“Eligible Transaction/Receipt”) to satisfy the Qualifying Spend subject always to Clause 3.2 of this Terms and Condition herein. Specifically, to satisfy the Qualifying Spend of Singapore Dollars One Hundred and Twenty (S$120) or Singapore Dollars One Hundred and Sixty (S$160), at least one of the Eligible Transaction/Receipt shall need to have a minimum transactional value of Singapore Dollars Fifty (S$50).

1.4.3.   Eligible Shoppers can combine any number of Eligible same-day Transaction/Receipt within the same participating CapitaLand mall, during each day of the Promotional Period, to satisfy the Qualifying Spend to qualify for the Reward. Only receipts snapped and uploaded to the CapitaStar app on the same day of purchase and approved will be accepted for the purposes of satisfying the Qualifying Spend. For purchases made via eCapitaVoucher, Eligible Shoppers are still required to snap the receipts and upload to the CapitaStar app on the same day of purchase. For purchases made via DBS payment mode (DBS/POSB Credit or Debit cards and DBS PayLah!) or ShopBack Pay (DBS PayLah! account or ShopBack account must be linked to CapitaStar app), scanning of receipt(s) is not necessary. Receipts with transactional value of less than Singapore Dollars Twenty (S$20) shall not be accepted, for this Promotion, to be combined to satisfy the Qualifying Spend.

1.4.4.   The CapitaStar-DBS PayLah! Linked Members Exclusive is exclusively for members of CapitaStar Rewards programme who have linked their CapitaStar account on DBS PayLah! app (referred to as “DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper”). DBS/POSB Eligible Shoppers can download the CapitaStar mobile application and sign up within the app as a member and link their CapitaStar account to qualify and participate in this DBS/POSB Promotion.

1.4.5.   DBS/POSB Eligible Shoppers must spend the minimum transactional value of Singapore Dollars One Hundred (S$100) in a single receipt (“DBS/POSB Qualifying Spend”) with the relevant DBS/POSB Credit or Debit Cards and/or DBS PayLah! at the relevant participating property (“Eligible DBS/POSB Transaction/Receipt”) as shown in the table below to receive the relevant amount of eCapitaVoucher (eCV) (“DBS/POSB Reward”) at the respective participating property. For purchases made via DBS payment mode (DBS/POSB Credit or Debit cards and DBS PayLah!), scanning of receipt(s) is not required, provided that the DBS PayLah! account is linked to CapitaStar app. For avoidance of doubt, payment with DBS PayLah! must be made via NETS QR.

1.4.6. Each Eligible Shopper may receive a maximum of one (1) eCV Reward per participating CapitaLand mall per day during the Promotion Period, and one (1) Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher per spend period of each Cinematic Experience Event throughout the Promotion Period. Each DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper may receive a maximum of one (1) eCV Reward per Eligible DBS/POSB Transaction/Receipt and there is no limit to the number of DBS/POSB Rewards a member can acquire throughout the Promotion Period.

1.5. The Reward and DBS/POSB Reward will be available for redemption through the CapitaStar app from 10am on each day of the Promotion Period. Eligible Transactions/Receipts snapped and submitted through the CapitaStar app before 10am will not qualify for the Promotion.

1.6. The Reward and DBS/POSB Reward will be automatically credited directly into the CapitaStar app of the Qualifying Eligible Shopper and DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper within 72 hours upon qualification of all Eligible Receipt(s) snapped and approved.

1.7. The eCV Reward awarded in this Promotion will expire in three (3) months from the date of issuance. The Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher will expire on the last day of the registration period, which will be stated in the eVoucher. Eligible Shoppers and DBS/POSB Eligible Shoppers can tap on the ‘My Vouchers’ tab from the CapitaStar app main screen to view the Reward and the expiry date. The Organiser shall not be obliged to entertain any request to extend the validity of the Reward and DBS/POSB Reward.

1.8. Each Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher awarded in this Promotion entitles Eligible Shoppers to register their interest to attend the relevant Cinematic Experience Event (valid for two (2) persons) on the specified date. Registration is only open during the specified period and time stated in the Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher. Eligible Shoppers must complete and submit their registration via the official registration page link provided in the Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher.

1.9. Registration of interest to attend each Cinematic Experience Event is on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry passes are limited, and each pass admits two (2) persons. The number of entry pass redemptions available for each event is as follows:

  • Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning: Limited to the first 100 redemptions
  • How To Train Your Dragon: Limited to the first 130 redemptions
  • Jurassic World Rebirth: Limited to the first 130 redemptions

Please note that successful submission of the registration does not guarantee the allotment of entry passes to attend the Cinematic Experience Events. Upon successful verification by the Organiser, only the successful Eligible Shoppers who have registered their interest via the official registration page will be notified by email. Successful Eligible Shoppers will automatically receive one (1) Cinematic Experience Event Entry Pass eVoucher (admits two (2) persons) directly in the CapitaStar app of the Eligible Shopper.

1.10. The seats for the Cinematic Experience Events are pre-allocated and selection of seats is not permitted. The Organiser’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.

1.11. The movies are subjected to Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) film classification under the Films Act. All eligible Cinematic Experience Event attendees are solely responsible for ensuring that they adhere to the Classification Rating of the specified movie. The Organiser and its partner(s) (if any) shall not be held liable for any damages or consequences resulting from the attendees’ decision to view content that is not appropriate according to the Classification Rating.

1.12. The Organiser, its partner(s) (if any) and the Movie Venue Operator reserve the right to deny entry to any attendee who does not meet the specified movie Classification Rating requirements.

1.13. Nothing in this Promotion shall constitute an endorsement from the Organiser and the CapitaLand Group of the movies that have been selected for screening as a Reward.  

1.14. The Reward and DBS/POSB Reward in this Promotion are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and redemption of the respective Reward and DBS/POSB Reward is subject to availability at the respective Participating CapitaLand mall and property, while stocks last.

1.15. A CapitaStar member’s eCapitaVoucher wallet on the CapitaStar app can hold a maximum of S$1,000 eCapitaVoucher(s) at any one time. Should the aggregate value of a CapitaStar member’s eCapitaVoucher Wallet Balance and eCV Reward(s) exceeds S$1,000, the eCV Reward(s) will not be credited into the CapitaStar member’s eCapitaVoucher Wallet. The CapitaStar member shall ensure sufficient eCapitaVoucher Wallet availability to receive the eCV Reward(s).

 

2.   ELIGIBILITY

2.1. Without limiting the generality of the above, the following persons shall not be eligible for the Promotion:

a. employees of any retail tenants in the Participating CapitaLand malls; and

b. persons who the Organiser may decide to exclude at its discretion without notice and without providing any reason, at any time.

2.2. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any member who is found at any time (whether before or after the receipt of any Reward or DBS/POSB Reward) to be in breach of the relevant eligibility or qualifying criteria. Any Reward or DBS/POSB Reward awarded to any member may be forfeited, and if collected, shall be returned to the Organiser promptly and may be dealt with the Organiser’s sole discretion.

 

3.   QUALIFYING SPEND

3.1. Only the total final amount paid as indicated on the tax invoice(s)/receipt(s) issued by the participating store(s) will be accepted for this Promotion. NETS or credit/debit card transaction slips are not acceptable in place of original copies of shopping receipts.

3.2. Notwithstanding Clause 1.4 of this Terms and Conditions hereinabove, receipt(s) from car grooming services, SingPost transactions, purchase of parking coupons, purchase or top up of Cashcard/stored value cards, purchase or top up of stores’ membership card, gift cards and vouchers (i.e. eCapitaVoucher or participating stores’ vouchers), SISTIC transactions, AXS/SAM machines transactions and bill payments, purchase of lottery tickets, purchase of movie tickets and food and beverages at cinema, any transactions at pawn shops and money changer, bank and other financial institutions’ transactions, transactions from pushcarts and stalls at temporary roadshows at the participating malls, and transactions from supermarkets (Cold Storage, FairPrice, FairPrice Finest, and GIANT) are not eligible for use as a receipt in this Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, transactions at Cold Storage and Thai Supermarket at Aperia Mall, FairPrice Finest at CQ @ Clarke Quay, FairPrice Xtra at Kallang Wave Mall, FairPrice Finest at Sengkang Grand Mall, FairPrice at SingPost Centre, Scarlett Plus at Bugis+ and Scarlett Supermarket at Bukit Panjang Plaza, Lot One, Plaza Singapura & Westgate shall be recognised for the purposes of this Promotion. For purchases of goods and services made by instalments, only the instalment receipt showing the value of the purchase(s) made on the same day of the redemption, will be eligible for use as a receipt in this Promotion for CapitaStar Rewards programme. Receipt(s) from deposit placements, order placements, and payments using tenant/credit card loyalty points will not be accepted for the purposes of this Promotion.

3.3. The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipts and/or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive.

3.4. The Organiser reserves the right to verify all purchases made by the Eligible Shopper and DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper and the tax invoice(s)/receipt(s) before processing the redemption of the Reward and DBS/POSB Reward.

3.5. Receipts shall be considered expended for the purposes of this Promotion and other promotions in the CapitaLand malls when it is used to redeem the Reward and DBS/POSB Reward. Receipts cannot be used for redemption of multiple Rewards. Receipts cannot be used for redemption of more than one promotion at any CapitaLand mall.

 

4.     GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

4.1. The eCV Reward cannot be exchanged for different denominations and is subject to the relevant terms and conditions governing the use of the eCapitaVoucher. Please refer to eCapitaVoucher terms and conditions.

4.2. By participating in this Promotion, the Member (CapitaStar members):

4.2.1. Acknowledges and consents to the processing, collection, use and disclosure of his/her Personal Data by the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries and related corporations including its holding company, CapitaLand Investment Limited (collectively, “CapitaLand Group”), and authorised agents, business partners and service providers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulations and guidelines to facilitate the administration of the Promotion including compliance with the Promotion Terms and Condition and that he/she has read and agreed with the CapitaLand Group’s and Data Protection Policy available at https://www.capitaland.com/international/en/legal-notices/privacy-policy.html  and  may be amended, replaced, substituted from time to time.

4.2.2. Agrees that the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, business partners and respective officers and employees shall not be liable for any actions, claims, demands, injuries, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any nature sustained by the member directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with this Promotion. The member shall indemnify and keep the Organiser and its officers, servants, agents and employees ("the Indemnified Parties") fully indemnified against any and all loss, damage, demand, liability, claims, expenses and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) suffered and/or incurred by any of the Indemnified Parties as a result of the breach of any of the terms and conditions herein by the member. Members are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all the T&Cs set out herein, as well as any other requirements set out in any related promotional material, and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications there to as may be made from time to time.

4.3. Acceptance of any Reward and DBS/POSB Reward shall constitute consent on the part of the Eligible Shopper and DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper to allow the use of his/her name, image, voice and/or likeness by the Organiser for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.

4.4. All Rewards and DBS/POSB Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, unless otherwise stated.

4.5. The Reward and DBS/POSB Reward shall be awarded on the presumption that the submitted tax invoice(s), receipt(s) and/or charge slip(s) are original copies and valid. The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipt and/or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive. In the event any tax invoice, receipt and/or charge slip is rejected by the Organiser as invalid, the Organiser shall reserve the right to void the Reward and DBS/POSB Reward awarded to the Eligible Shopper and DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper and recover the monetary value of the Reward and DBS/POSB Reward.

4.6. The Organiser and its partner(s) (if any) in this Promotion reserve the right to change, vary, replace, substitute, amend, withdraw or cancel this Promotion and/or any of the terms and conditions herein at their sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice or any liability to any party.

4.7. The Organiser does not make any warranty or representation in relation to any product or services offered in this Promotion or redeemed by vouchers or gift certificates and shall not accept any liability in respect of the same.

4.8. By participating in this Promotion, the Eligible Shopper and DBS/POSB Eligible Shopper represent that he/she has read and agreed with this Promotion Terms and Conditions.

4.9. This Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and all participants in this Promotion irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts to resolve all disputes.

4.10. The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.

4.11. Information stated in this Promotion’s Terms and Condition is correct at the time of publishing and is subject to change without prior notice.

Only approved receipts will qualify for the promotion, available on a while-stocks-last basis.

For purchases made with the following payment methods, receipt(s) scanning is not necessary:

·         DBS payment mode (DBS/POSB Credit or Debit cards and DBS PayLah!): DBS PayLah! account must be linked to CapitaStar app.

·         ShopBack Pay: ShopBack account must be linked to CapitaStar app.

No, members who have linked their CapitaStar account to DBS PayLah! and transacted via DBS payment modes (DBS/POSB Credit or Debit cards and DBS PayLah!) OR have linked their CapitaStar account to ShopBack and transacted via ShopBack Pay do not have to snap their receipts on the CapitaStar app. For members who still proceed to snap their receipts and upload to the CapitaStar app, the receipts will be rejected. For avoidance of doubt, payment with DBS PayLah! must be made via NETS QR.

No, there is no cap to the number of receipts to accumulate.

However, spending per receipt must be a minimum of S$20 (as per CapitaStar program criteria) and one of the receipts must be at least S$50*. Receipts with transactional value that are less than S$20 per transaction will not be eligible for accumulation to meet the Qualifying Spend.

*Exception: Criteria for one of the receipts to be at least S$50 does not apply to Aperia Mall and Sengkang Grand Mall.

Yes, you will be eligible to redeem the eCapitaVoucher Reward from these two malls if you meet the Qualifying Spend per mall and if there are available stocks. 

However, you will only receive ONE Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher per spend period of each Cinematic Experience Event, regardless of how many eCapitaVoucher you receive during that spend period.

No, combination of receipts from different malls is not allowed. 

Yes, usage of eCapitaVoucher to make the purchase in participating stores can qualify for the promotion. The gross spends including eCapitaVoucher, excluding discounts will be counted towards the minimum spend amount. This Registration eVoucher entitles members to register their interest in attending the relevant Cinematic Experience. Members can register their interest during the specified period and time stated in the eVoucher, through the registration page link provided in the eVoucher. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do note that a successful submission of the registration does not guarantee allotment of the entry passes to attend the Cinematic Experience Events. No. You can only register your interest for the Cinematic Experience through the official registration page link provided in the Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher, available under ‘My Vouchers’ tab in your CapitaStar app. Registration through any other means will not be accepted. 

Each member who has received a valid Cinematic Experience Registration eVoucher can only submit one (1) registration entry using the serial number indicated in the eVoucher. Multiple submissions using the same eVoucher serial number will be disregarded.

Only members who are successfully allocated with an Entry Pass eVoucher will be notified by email. The member will also receive one (1) Cinematic Experience Event Entry Pass eVoucher (admits two (2) persons) directly in the CapitaStar app under ‘My Vouchers’ tab.

The eCapitaVoucher Reward is limited to one (1) redemption per participating CapitaLand mall per day of the Promotion Period.
