The 4th and final installment of the PlayNow! Grand Prix Chess Challenge will take place at Junction 8 from 31 Oct to 1 November 2026

Located in the heart of Bishan and conveniently accessible via Bishan MRT Interchange and Bishan Bus Interchange, Junction 8 is a vibrant lifestyle destination serving residents, office workers and students from the surrounding community.

As the only shopping mall in Bishan, Junction 8 provides an ideal setting for a chess event, where participants and visitors can enjoy the excitement of chess alongside a wide range of shopping, dining and entertainment options. The mall offers a welcoming and accessible environment for players, families and members of the public to come together, experience the game and enjoy a day of activities.

Participants can also look forward to an exciting rapid tournament with prizes worth up to $2,000.  Members of the public are also invited to take part in a range of side chess activities planned throughout the event.

The PlayNow! Grand Prix Chess Challenge is a collaboration between CapitaLand and the Singapore Chess Federation to bring chess closer to shoppers and communities across Singapore.
