1.      INTRODUCTION

1.1     New Homies In The West (the “Promotions”) is exclusive to members of CapitaStar Rewards (referred to as “Eligible Shopper”). Shoppers can download the CapitaStar mobile application and sign up as a member within the CapitaStar App to qualify and participate in these Promotions. The Rewards in these Promotions are only awarded for the Qualifying Action and Spend during the Promotion Period (as defined herein below) as shown in the table in Clause 1.4 below.

1.2     The Promotions are organised by CapitaLand Retail Management Pte Ltd (“Organiser”) and shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”).

1.3       The promotion period (“Promotion Period”) is from 1 September 2024 to 31 December 2026, both dates inclusive.

1.4     The promotion mechanics of the Promotions are as follows:

1.4.1    Eligible Shoppers must verify as a Tengah resident (“Qualifying Action”) and spend (“Qualifying Spend”) at the participating malls to receive the relevant amount of STAR$® and eVoucher (“Rewards”) as shown in the table below.

1.4.2    For Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion, Eligible Shoppers must verify as a Tengah resident at the information counters at IMM from 6pm to 8pm during the Promotion Period to qualify for the eCapitaVoucher and eVoucher Rewards. Each Eligible Shopper may redeem a maximum of one (1) 5,000 STAR$® and one (1) Digital Membership eVoucher Rewards throughout the promotional period. The Rewards are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and redemption of the respective Rewards is subject to availability at the respective participating CapitaLand Malls, while stocks last. Eligible Shoppers will present the Digital Membership eVoucher at participating stores to the cashier before payment to enjoy exclusive perks listed on the microsite.

1.5    The STAR$® Reward awarded under the Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion will expire in three (3) months from the date of issuance. The eVoucher Reward awarded under the Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion will expire after 31 December 2026 regardless of the date of qualification and issuance of the eVoucher Reward. Eligible Shoppers can tap on the “My Vouchers” tab from the CapitaStar App to view the Reward and the expiry date. The Organiser shall not be obliged to entertain any request to extend the validity of the STAR$®, and/or eVoucher Rewards.

 

2.          ELIGIBILITY

2.1      Without limiting the generality of the above, the following persons shall not be eligible for the Promotion:

a.   employees of any retail tenants in the participating CapitaLand Malls; and

b.   persons who the Organiser may decide to exclude at its discretion without notice and without providing any reason, at any time.

2.2     The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any member who is found at any time (whether before or after the receipt of any STAR$® or eVoucher Rewards) to be in breach of the relevant eligibility or qualifying criteria. Any STAR$® or eVoucher Rewards awarded to any member may be forfeited, and if collected, shall be returned to the Organiser promptly and may be dealt with the Organiser’s sole discretion.

 

3.          QUALIFYING ACTION & SPEND

3.1     Only the total final amount paid as indicated on the tax invoice(s)/ receipt(s) issued by the participating store(s) will be accepted for the Promotions. NETS or credit/debit card transaction slips are not acceptable in place of original copies of shopping receipts.

Notwithstanding Clause 1.4 of this Terms and Conditions hereinabove, receipt(s) from non-participating stores, car grooming services, SingPost transactions, purchase of parking coupons, purchase or top up of Cashcard / stored value cards, purchase or top up of stores’ membership card, gift cards and vouchers (i.e. Participating Stores’ vouchers), SISTIC transactions, AXS / SAM machines transactions and bill payments, purchase of lottery tickets, purchase of movie tickets and food and beverages at cinema, any transactions at pawn shops and money changer, bank and other financial institutions’ transactions and transactions from pushcarts and stalls at temporary roadshows at the participating CapitaLand Malls are not eligible for use as a receipt in these Promotions. For purchases of goods and services made by instalments, only the instalment receipt showing the value of the purchase(s) made on the same day of the redemption, will be eligible for use as a receipt in these Promotions for CapitaStar Rewards programme. Receipt(s) from deposit placements, order placements, and payments using tenant/credit card loyalty points will not be accepted for the purposes of these Promotions.

3.3     The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipts and/or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive.

3.4     The Organiser reserves the right to verify all purchases made by the Eligible Shopper and the tax invoice(s)/receipt(s) before processing the redemption of the STAR$® and eVoucher Rewards in the Promotions.

3.5     Receipts shall be considered expended for the purposes of these Promotions and other promotions in the CapitaLand Mall when it is used to redeem the STAR$® and eVoucher Rewards. Same as provided for in these Terms and Conditions, receipts cannot be used for redemption of multiple STAR$® and eVoucher Rewards. Receipts cannot be used for redemption of more than one promotion at any CapitaLand Mall, but the Eligible Transaction/Receipt used to redeem the eVoucher Reward can be used for the purposes of satisfying the Qualifying Spend for the eCapitaVoucher Reward at the respective participating CapitaLand Malls.

 

4.          GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

4.1    Eligible Shoppers must snap the receipt(s) through their CapitaStar App on the same day of purchase from 1 September 2024 to 31 December 2026 and only approved receipt(s) will qualify for this Promotion.

4.2    The STAR$®, eCapitaVoucher and eVoucher Rewards cannot be exchanged for different denominations and are subject to the relevant terms and conditions governing the use of the eCapitaVoucher. Please refer to eCapitaVoucher terms and conditions.

4.3    By participating in this Promotion, the Member (CapitaStar members):

4.3.1   acknowledges and consents to the processing, collection, use and disclosure of his/ her Personal Data by the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries and related corporations including its holding company, CapitaLand Investment Limited (collectively, “CapitaLand Group”), and authorised agents, business partners and service providers in compliance with Applicable data protection laws, regulations and guidelines to facilitate the administration of the Promotion including compliance with the Promotion Terms and Condition and that he/ she has read and agreed with the CapitaLand Group’s and Data Protection Policy available at https://www.capitaland.com/international/en/legal-notices/privacy-policy.html  and  may be amended, replaced, substituted from time to time.

4.3.2     agrees that the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, business partners and respective officers and employees shall not be liable for any actions, claims, demands, injuries, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any nature sustained by the member directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with this Promotion. The member shall indemnify and keep the Organiser and its officers, servants, agents and employees ("the Indemnified Parties") fully indemnified against any and all loss, damage, demand, liability, claims, expenses and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) suffered and/or incurred by any of the Indemnified Parties as a result of the breach of any of the terms and conditions herein by the member. Members are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all the T&Cs set out herein, as well as any other requirements set out in any related promotional material, and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications there to as may be made from time to time.

4.4       Acceptance of any Reward shall constitute consent on the part of the Eligible Shopper to allow the use of his/her name, image, voice and/or likeness by the Organiser for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.

4.5       All STAR$® and eVoucher Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, unless otherwise stated.

4.6       The eVoucher Rewards shall be awarded on the presumption that the submitted tax invoice(s), receipt(s) and/or charge slip(s) are original copies and valid. The Organiser may reject any tax invoice, receipt and/or charge slip as invalid at its sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive. In the event any tax invoice, receipt and/or charge slip is rejected by the Organiser as invalid, the Organiser shall reserve the right to void the eVoucher Rewards awarded to the Eligible Shopper and recover the monetary value of the eVoucher Rewards.  

4.7       The Organiser and its partner(s) (if any) in these Promotions reserve the right to change, vary, replace, substitute, amend, withdrawal or cancel this Promotion and/or any of the terms and conditions herein at their sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice or any liability to any party.

4.8       The Organiser does not make any warranty or representation in relation to any product or services offered in these Promotions or redeemed by vouchers or gift certificates and shall not accept any liability in respect of the same.

4.9       By participating in these Promotions, the Eligible Shopper represents that he/she has read and agreed with this Promotion Terms and Conditions.

4.10      This Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and all participants in these Promotions irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts to resolve all disputes.

4.11      The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotions shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.

4.12      Information stated in this Promotion’s Terms and Condition is correct at the time printing and is subject to change without prior notice.

2.     How do I participate?

You can download the CapitaStar App on App Store / Google Play / HUAWEI AppGallery and sign up as a member to participate in these Promotions. Eligible Shoppers must verify as a Tengah resident (“Qualifying Action”) and spend (“Qualifying Spend”) at the participating malls to receive the relevant amount of STAR$®, eCapitaVoucher and eVoucher (“Rewards”) as shown in the table below.

3.     How is the verification process conducted?

Please present your registered residential address on your Digital IC via the SingPass App based on the steps below to receive the reward for Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion. Please rest assured the personal information will not be recorded.

1)     Launch your SingPass App

2)     Present your Digital IC to our Digital Service Advocates (DSAs) at the information counters for verification

3)     If asked to prove that your Digital IC is not a captured image, you can tap on the “Show barcode” icon to show the interactivity.

4.     Am I guaranteed to receive the rewards if I meet the above qualifying action and spend criteria?

No. For Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion, it is limited to 800 redemptions based on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

 

5.     Is there a cap to the number of receipts a member can submit to qualify for the Spend More, Win More Promotion?

There is no cap to the number of receipts. However, there is a minimum spend of S$20 per receipt to be eligible for the rewards and receipts must be scanned on the same day of purchase via the CapitaStar App during the Promotion Period to qualify for the rewards.

 

6.     I did not win the reward in this qualifying period. Can I snowball my receipt(s) to the next qualifying period?

Snowballing of receipt(s) from purchases at Lot One, IMM and Westgate shall not be allowed. All accumulated receipt(s) will be reset at the start of each qualifying period(s).

 

7.     What happens if I make a qualifying purchase but forget to scan it via my CapitaStar App?

To receive the rewards, you must scan your CapitaStar App on the same day of purchase. If you forget to scan, your purchase may not be eligible for the Promotions.

 

8.     Do I still need to snap in my receipts if I have linked my CapitaStar account to DBS PayLah!?

No, members who have linked their CapitaStar account on DBS PayLah! and transacted with DBS payment modes do not have to snap their receipts on the CapitaStar App. For members who still proceed to snap their receipts, the receipts will be rejected to avoid double rewards.

 

9.  Do I still need to keep my receipts after scanning them into the CapitaStar App?

Yes, it is advisable to keep your receipts as proof of purchase in case there are any issues with your rewards or transaction history.

 

10.  Can I qualify for the Promotion rewards if I pay with eCapitaVoucher via the CapitaStar App?

Yes, you can qualify for all promotions during the Promotion Period if you pay with eCapitaVoucher via the CapitaStar App. For purchases made via eCapitaVoucher, Eligible Shoppers are still required to snap the receipts and upload to the CapitaStar App on the same day of purchase.

 

11.  If my receipts are rejected, what should I do?

If your receipt is rejected due to incomplete or unclear information, please re-submit your receipt with a clear image showing the following information:

  • Mall Name
  • Shop Name
  • Unit Number
  • Transaction Date & Time
  • Receipt Number
  • Transaction Amount

12.  What is the validity period of my Promotion rewards?

The STAR$® Reward awarded under the Tengah Homies’ Welcome Gift Promotion will expire in three months from the date of issuance. 

 

13.  What receipts are eligible for the Spend More, Win More Promotion?

All receipt(s) with min. S$20 spent at Lot One, IMM and Westgate are eligible for this Promotion except for receipt(s) from car grooming services, SingPost transactions, purchase of parking coupons, purchase or top up of Cashcard / stored value cards, purchase or top up of stores’ membership card, gift cards and vouchers (i.e. eCapitaVoucher or participating stores’ vouchers), SISTIC transactions, AXS / SAM machines transactions and bill payments, purchase of lottery tickets, purchase of movie tickets and food and beverages at cinema, any transactions at pawn shops and money changer, bank and other financial institutions’ transactions and transactions from pushcarts and stalls at temporary roadshows at the participating CapitaLand Malls.

 

14.  How soon will the receipts be approved?

Receipt will be processed within 24 hours from your submission.

 

15.  What should I do if my rewards are not credited to my CapitaStar account?

If your rewards are not credited, please contact us with your CapitaStar Member ID, receipt(s) details and transaction information for assistance.

 

16.  Can I return or exchange items purchased during the Promotion Period?

Returns and exchanges are subject to the policies of the individual stores.

 

17.  Are there any restrictions on how I can use my Promotion rewards?

Rewards may have specific usage restrictions. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for details on how rewards can be used.

 

18.  Can I transfer my Promotion rewards to another CapitaStar member?

Rewards are non-transferable and must be used by the account holder who made the qualifying purchase.
